The primary problem with Trump is when one is constantly proving he knows everything he doesnât dare learn anything.
âWell, I have some real issues with things heâs said about national security policy and some concerns. I think there are some contradictions,â Gates said, pointing to Trumpâs policy on China and North Korea.
only some?
Far more frightening are those who honestly believe this con man is fit to be President of the United States.
The man is a politician. Everything said in a public statement will have a caveat(s).

That is everything in this struggle.
- The RNC devised too many âwinner-take-allâ primaries
- Trump got $2 billion in free ad time
- Trump got MSM butterknife questions by stenographers
- The Republicans are coalescing around Trump
All four of the above are social structures and collections of people who have been thought to be sane and reasonable people capable of functioning in society. Friends, neighbors, relatives, workmates.
If the United States allows this sociopath to become President, it will have lost whatever high ground it had in talking about other countriesâ dictators, totalitarians, facsists and tyrants. For hundreds of millions of people around the world who know very little about the people, trends, customs and predilections of Americans this will be a year of a good deal of fear.
Gates was being very, very diplomatic and too kind in saying âthere are some contradiction.â Others have not been so kind, such as Fred Kaplan, long time foreign affairs writer at slate.com .
was even more incoherent than his impromptu ramblings of the past several months. In fact, it may stand as the most senseless, self-contradicting foreign policy speech by any major partyâs presidential nominee in modern history.
What Gates left out was âthe rest is just insanityâ
âSome contradictionsâ? Letâs try insane, ignorant, and completely irrational.
Whatâs even more dismaying is there are men like Bob Gates who will keep making excuses for Trump, putting the shambling, decrepit nearly zombie-fied hulk of his party ahead of his countryâs best interests.
âŚTrumpâs plans?
More like vague notions of how the world works outside one of his casinos or pageants.
âI guess one of the things that makes it challenging for me is that he seems to think that he has all the answers and that he doesnât need any advice from staff or anybody else,â Gates said. âAnd that he knows more about these things than anybody else. And doesnât really feel the need to surround himself with informed advisors.â
In my opinion, this is a crushing assessment and adds up pretty squarely to incompetence. It is very truthful as well for those not hypnotized by Drumpfcult. It does however, put Sec. Gates in a position of being contradicted by he, who must be obeyed. 3.2.1âŚ
Yes, in politics-speak, this is about as brutal a take-down as any.
Poked on your link and listened as far as I could stand (a minute and a half about). Does trump think our mid east allies donât âappreciateâ us? How dense can a human be? Trump out does Palin for word salad thinking.
They have to appreciate us? WTF does he think Kuwait feels when we tossed out Saddam??? Does trump expect the world to kiss our toes?
I hope youâve had a chance to read the very long story about him and his disgusting record of treating women badly, verbally and physically, but you can find it at NY Times easily. This is an up to date bunch here, so weâre not unfamiliar with some of these revelations, and I personally donât think the spotlight on his boorish behavior is going to dim eitherâŚ
Here is a good column by a former Hillary aide that should be appreciated by her supporters.
For starters:
"If you voted for Hillary â or intend to do so â hereâs what youâre responsible for:
Youâve made the media look powerless.
The national media have done everything in their power to undermine Hillaryâs campaign, eagerly doing the bidding of her political rivals. From emails to transcripts, they have hammered her incessantly while giving a pass to Donald Trump. By carrying her to victory after victory, youâve made the mediaâs efforts to derail Hillary a complete failure."
I will be voting for her on June 7th.
I donât think it should either.
More to the point.
Trump is a LIARâŚ
