Is he saying his ‘goodwill’ = $7B? Ha!
From Wikipedia:
However, according to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), goodwill is never amortized. Instead, management is responsible for valuing goodwill every year and to determine if an impairment is required. If the fair market value goes below historical cost (what goodwill was purchased for), an impairment must be recorded to bring it down to its fair market value. However, an increase in the fair market value would not be accounted for in the financial statements.

He’s never going to be poor but I think we’re seeing the beginning of the end for Trump as a super rich brand. He’s shot his overseas brand in the foot, and his domestic brand has shifted from “loudmouth celeb” to “politician”. He’ll live on Fox News at this point.

The fact remains that Trump is a guy who was born on third base, and thinks he hit a stand-up triple. His business genius lies in his ability to convince investors and lenders that he’s a business genius, abundant evidence to the contrary notwithstanding.
