Discussion for article #234843

Well they did stop him…from reloading. And of course, not with guns, but by dogpiling him.

The rightwing media will blow a gasket and demand that Hillary immediately condemn the politicization of Reagan’s shooting.

Too true… just a few more guns would have solved it… when everyone is armed, things will quiet down fast… for the few survivors

I dream of a day when Ronald Reagan is completely forgotten by everyone.

The gun nuts won’t get it. It’s too subtle!

Well, Hinckley tried.

Wait a minute – was Reagan a GOOD guy? Where was his gun? I guess he left it at home with Mommy.

The NRA says “The only thing that STOPS…” The don’t say “PREVENTS.” You can’t STOP something until it’s STARTED. Those “Good Guys With Guns” did, in fact, stop Hinckley, albeit not WITH the guns. So…I dunno.

Interesting that he shot Reagan and lived.

That was before the NRA and gun manufacturers became greedy and fear wasn’t the defining issue for some Americans.

It’s just so embarrassing.

The answer is obvious to anyone who understands the 2nd Amendment.
The right to keep and bear arms also extends to the right to carry a facsimile of James Brady’s head to absorb fire.

In fact, it should be a requirement for every American to bear a facsimile of James Brady’s head as a way to safeguard the right of every American to possess and brandish military paraphernalia at kindergarten recitals and Wamart shopping trips.
