Good for her and good for them for asking her. Can’t imagine what her life is like now, hopefully it has calmed down.

OT: German artists brilliantly honeypot ‘Nazis’ into exposing themselves and their friends

Excerpt:
But in a surprising twist, ZPS yesterday revealed the site was a front for an elaborate honeypot operation. While they did previously identify over 1500 individuals who participated in the protest, the real goal of the site was to get far-right sympathizers to search for themselves and their friends.

Since yesterday, the site no longer offers a search and identification function, but a message that starts with “Thank you, dear Nazis.”

In the message, ZPS explains how they used the search box on their site to create “the most relevant set of data on right-wing extremism that currently exists in Germany,” or so ZPS founder Philipp Ruch claims to German news agency EPD.

Andy Warhol deliberately didn’t put an index in his biography, so people couldn’t search for themselves standing in bookstores. They had to buy his book. Spy Magazine did publish an index for it and it was very funny.

Sports Illustrated? THE Sports Illustrated? wtf? I am so wrong about some things.

Dr. Blasey Ford should get a medal for courage, bravery and maybe, if it’s not too much to ask, for service to her country. What was done to her is inexcusable. We’ve not come very far since Anita Hill.

The MeToo movement gives me some hope, but it’s gonna be a heavy lift. That being said, I also think some of the victories enjoyed by women candidates this last election are fruit that has already been borne of this movement. So let’s keep it up. :+1:

Good for her, and good for her continuing to show courage. Of course, the reaction on this to the right will be:

See? She was just a publicity hound! Kavanutz is innocent!

But they thought that already, so fuck them sideways.

And of course the comments on that Tweet are every bit as vile and deplorable as you’d expect.

That’s a wonderfully diabolical scheme. They used their own vanity against them.
