Of course this is rhetorical, but why exactly would some individual living somewhere be so frightened by Blasey Ford? Have any of these cretins ever thought for a nanosecond why they are threatening her? I know the answer, believe me. And without the wonders of technology, this wouldn’t be nearly as bad for her. Shall we place bets on whose threats reduce before the other - Ford or Kavanaugh’s?

Hillary Clinton should’ve never apologized for the basket of deplorable comment. She should’ve doubled down. She was absolutely right, and it needed to be said. It needs to continue being said to keep the fire lit under our own supporters.

This is how I feel. The depressing part is that it feels like rule by the worst people. There’s not even a pretense of a greater good. Trump is just rallying his base by attacking the rest of the country - mocking and bullying people in the process. A large portion of this nation just seems to have become mean and stupid.

There are some real aholes out there…I was cruising through some of the RW ‘hate’ sites this weekend and ooooooooeeeeeeeeee the names they called HER and other women as well as the sht they shoveled at the Democrats. I don’t know if they are trolls or actual victimized Americans but my god. They were so over the top.

I suspect trolls. Sure, there are plenty of RW nutjobs but a lot of the online vitriol is trolling - Russian and domestic. I first noticed it 4 or 5 years ago. A very sudden uptick in the type of tolling you describe. It happened around the same time, across multiple websites. The comments sections filled-up with hateful rhetoric. It happened too suddenly to be organic, and it has not let up. I believe once the trolls get it going, the RW Nutjobs join in. Pick any divisive topic and you can find the trolling - often taking both sides. It is designed to amplify the divisiveness, and it works.

I think so too…generally I check their comment history and you can pretty well tell. However, after seeing the performance art of Lindsey Graham last week it’s hard to separate the trolls from the haters.
