Discussion: Blackout Hits Puerto Rico As Power Grid Remains Unstable From Hurricane

Exhibit A in “useful things the National guard should be doing instead of arsing about at the southern border”

I thought Elon Musk had taken care of this already -seriously. I think he put in solar/battery for a hospital within a few weeks, and I thought they were moving forward with a larger scale system for the island.

Priorities. Golf. And showing Abe how important irrelevant he is, as he can play golf instead of doing his job.

The new blackout occurred as Puerto Rico legislators debate
a bill that would privatize the island’s power company, which
is $14 billion in debt and relies on infrastructure nearly three
times older than the industry average.

Oh …privatization …

What a coincidence the whole island goes out … hmmmm…

It is absolutely outrageous that it has been seven months since Hurricane Maria hit Puerto Rico and the island is still largely without reliable power and passable roads. This is another example of the absolute failure of the maladministration by our “dear-leader” Drumpf to adequately assist people who are in desperate need. In this case, it wouldn’t be because the bulk of the people who live on the island are brown-skined, would it? Yea, I thought so.

It’ll be interesting to watch the progress of Kaua’i for a comparison …

They just got HAMMERED ! … I know that there are major differences but from a statistical standpoint …

Because Puerto Rico is still not a state. We should fix that.

And Kauai has been a state for 60 years.

Perfect. Puerto Ricans won’t see the next storm coming, and the rest of the Pendejo jerkwaters who are still making money on Human suffering can work in the dark, like the cockroaches they are. And because it’s so dark, most people in the CONUS will have the perfect excuse to see nothing, say nothing, and do nothing. It’s American “government” by Simians.
