Discussion: Black Woman In 'Republicans Are People Too' Ad Is Just A Stock Photo

This makes me want to post some “bully comment” directed at Republicans, just to really twist the knife. Ok, here goes:

Trickle-down economics is a failed monetary philosophy, as evidenced by the stunning growth in the separation of wealth since the 1980’s.

I hope that one burns.

Republicans are people, my friend. #ImARepublican

Everything republicans earn goes to people. Where do you think it goes? Whose pockets? People’s pockets. Human beings, my friend.#ImARepublican

No, REALLY!! We are people. Actual human beings! Honest Injun!!

If you are explaining (that you are, somehow, “people,”) you are losing. #ImARepublican

If you are lying, you are losing. #ImARepublican

But I still don’t understand how the Republicans could possibly have failed to find at least one stock photo of a corporation?

You misspelled “tool”.

Why do Cain and Carson come immediately to mind?

The GOTP sure wishes we were. They find it embarrassing to be caught with their pants down.

They really, really, couldn’t find any “Real People” in their “Real America” who were willing to confess on camera that they were GOP? Really?

And even they did not volunteer to be filmed!

Where are the “Republican’s have sex with farm animals too!” stock photos? Those will come in handy in Mississippi for Tha-a-a-ad Cochran.

Yep. You’re right. And it always backfires big time when politicians are caught doing it.

So the video produced in order to convince everyone that Republicans are real people is populated by fakes. And that’s about as real as it gets for the GOP.

It’s not the stock photos. It’s the thought process. Nobody said “Republicans drive Prius. Let’s a get a photo with a guy and Prius because that represents Republicans!” Instead, they picked the photos because of the brands, or the attractive people. And THEN they wrote the copy.

“Here’s an attractive looking guy that will play well with viewers who like Breaking Bad and Sons of Anarchy. Let’s say ‘Republicans have tattoos and beards.’”

That cynical approach to selling their brand is worthy of ridicule, especially when what they’re trying to sell is authenticity.

you’d really think in this day and age GOP ad developers would be savvy enough to know anyone could check this out.

Republicans: Try and con you for a few months every year by pretending they are someone they really aren’t.

If only republicans were just stock photos.

Actually Genghis Khan was pretty progressive in some important ways, for instance he chose lieutenants from a wide range of ethnicities and religions, and his methods although brutal reduced the total amount of bloodshed his expansion required.

Can’t say the same about republicans though. They’re regressive, anti-diverse, and their methods increase death rates.

So they’re right about that one point – they don’t compare well with Genghis Khan.

Why didn’t they just go ahead and use all of the Black Republicans that are in Congress, or Black leaders, like we do?

They could’ve grabbed tons of teabaggers by their, uh-hum, teabags and used them as regular folk too.

I’m sure they paid more for the photos than just using pictures of real Repubs in action. Are the real people embarrassed, ashamed, what, I don’t get it.

Republicans are stock people too.

That said, it does make you wonder what kind of tramp stamp the Koch brothers make their bought-and-paid-for pols wear…
