Let’s hope it passes! And that it can pass over Trump’s obvious veto.

Tillis told CNN this week that Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) is open to holding hearings on the legislation later this month.

Hearings on what should be no-brainer legislation - absolutely. But repeal of the ACA or any of the Republican replacement plans affecting tens of millions of people, maybe with life-or-death consequences, and 1/6 of the U.S. economy - nah, don’t need 'em.

We need to speak clearly and continuously on the neon pink elephant in the room… not holding hearings on massive legislation like repealing or replacing ACA is not about petty partisanship… it is truly about thwarting and twisting norms of our government with malicious intent.

Going beyond the pale to sneak major legislation is not ok. Is not normal politics. Is not acceptable. And, unequivocally against the greatest good of our country.

It is hard to keep focused on this with the continuous shit-storm known as the Trump Administration.

Ps: I want a special badge for dropping a 6 syllable word!

“A bipartisan Senate bill aimed at protecting special counsels from being fired for sketchy reasons…”

The legal term “for sketchy reasons” is Latin for “to pull Brachydactyl’s goolies from under the steam roller”.

:eyeglasses: Will Rick Perry’s smart glasses do?

Which reminds me of the rehab doc who nattered about my residual limb.

My reply: You do realize you just used five syllables to say stump?
