âI simply saidâ⌠No you did not!
"You donât survive as a society if you encourage and thrive on envy or jealousy.â
How about GREED? We donât survive as a society if you encourage GREED."
âWhy shouldnât I say it? The joos donât buy plywood!â
We need Eustace for this one.
"You donât survive as a society if you encourage and thrive on envy or jealousy.â
Shit - there goes the American dream.
Hitler wasnât elected. He was appointed.
Appeasement! 1939! Chamberlain!
(Oh, wrong meme? okay, I got it.)
1933! Democracy! Hitler! Brown Shirts! Obama! FEMA camps!
(There. My argument for a ruling oligarchy.)
"You donât survive as a society if you encourage and thrive on envy or jealousy.â
So what emotions are the ultra-rich appealing to when they are whipping up public support to break unions or ban collective bargaining through their donations to the Republican Party? Altruism? All the fat-cat union members that have (gasp) pensions in the current day and age when the normal working class have been reduced to hand-to-mouth, with no health benefits (just ban the ACA), with no hope of affording their childrenâs college tuition at a public university (but you can borrow at high interest rates), and stagnant wages (youâd get dividends if youâd invest).
Power and ignorance.
âI simply said just because weâre a democracy doesnât mean you canât have bad results,â
I couldnât agree more. For reference, see the 1980 and 2000 presidential elections.
Well, 1980 at least. The 2000 election wasnât completely the fault of the electorate. We tried to elect the other guy, we just werenât allowed.
What part of âincome inequality is bad for everybodyâ doesnât he understand? Iâll head to Home Depot next time I need a strawman.
Hitler wasnât elected, he was a appointed in a backroom deal. And the NSDAP (the Nazis) never had a plurality in the Reichstag.
Also, Langone is a probably always has been an ass.

Billionaire Home Depot Founder Is Not Really Sorry For Nazi Comparison
Thatâs okay, because I havenât really forgiven him.
So this is the part where he complains that his first amendmet rights to talk like an assh*le are being violated by other people using their first amendment rights to call him oneâŚ
Doesnât recall that Hitler campaigned on a promise to ban elections if he got elected does he? And thatâs just what he did.
The 1% really imagines that we all sit around and envy them. We donât. Theyâre empty-headed and selfish without a care for the world they are creating around them. Who wants to live such a vacuous life?
But itâs their fantasy that we envy them that drives them to make even more money off our backs.
Donât flatter the jerk. He was not a founder, only a banker for Home Depot. He made his money with other peopleâs money and other peopleâs ideas.
Iâd say that the Nazi formula was about scapegoating, propaganda, and playing on a desperate nationâs desire for a return to strength and glory. Sounds a bit like Putinâs Russia, but never mind. Envy? Jealousy? Actually, heâs the jealous one, guarding his riches.
As for democratic process doesnât necessarily mean a good result, heâs right there. Especially where there are no democratic traditions, such as Egypt, Germany in the '30s, etc.
He simply said that if you think âThat law they want to pass is good for billionaires but it isnât good for meâ then youâre Hitler. Donât you people understand plain English?
Billions of dollars. Not even two common cents.
First they came for the billionaires that paid for their lifestyles and campaignsâŚ
Yeah. Real danger there, Ken.
Proof positive you donât have to be inordinately smart to make a lot of doughâŚit seems to help if you have a a healthy dose of Azzhole within ,howeverâŚ
