No duh BillO- and you’ve helped make them afraid of Black Americans. For that matter, the fearmongering and race baiting of the Republican Party has made it so that White Americans are terrified of Black Americans. Don’t whine about the problem that you helped to create- FIX IT!
News flash, BillO, They don’t have to be American.
That’s just my opinion.
Should have brought Trump on. I’m sure he could have helped the conversation since he gets along so well with “the blacks”.
Why has no one out and out called O’Reilly a racist on his show? He is one. A giant racist. People need to know that his attitudes on race are not okay in 2014.
Bill-O, They just want some Motherfuc**g Iced Tea!!
White Republicans find black folks scary because they are suppressing their latent feelings of guilt over the injustice of institutionalized racism in the US that is 3 centuries old.
They simply cannot get past the melanin rich skin tones to see the sentient being inside. So every black person becomes a symbol of their own failure to come to grips with the ghosts of the persecuted.
These assholes are pathologically incapable of admitting they’ve got a problem. Introspection and personal insight have never been conservatives strong suits. Those that do possess it, yet still remain in the conservative fold, are usually the cynical, ‘I got mine…’ types.
They do seem to have painted themselves into a corner. If they don’t keep up the active antagonism their part of their existing base will abandon them.
They will have to wander in the woods for several years while that portion of the base looses relevancy. Maybe after being out of power long enough they’ll be able to come back to the adult table and participate in the public square like constructive citizens.
“Because they feel it’s not worth the trouble, the few votes they might siphon off, to get involved with it,” O’Reilly said. “That’s how they feel. I know that for a fact.”
Of course he knows it for a fact; O’Reilly is one of the White Republicans “afraid” of Black people.
Would love to see this happen to the "Wise One "Bill O
I wish Smiley would have stood up and leaned over Mr. Bill a bit, then adjusted his chair and sat back down.
Doesn’t he mean ""Because they feel it’s not worth the trouble, the few votes that we [republicans] can’t prevent …
I’m feel pretty sure that most black Americans are afraid of white Republicans, so right back atcha, Bigot O’Reilly.
“They don’t know anything about the culture, and they don’t wanna be called a racist bigot, so they stay away,” O’Reilly continued. “That’s just my opinion.”
“But why does that make you scared, as opposed to being interested in understanding, embracing --”
“Because they feel it’s not worth the trouble, the few votes they might siphon off, to get involved with it,” O’Reilly said. “That’s how they feel. I know that for a fact.”
I don’t know Bill, that sounds like they’re both intimidated AND uncaring.
So what I can take from this, is that White Republican’s are afraid of black people because they don’t how to talk to us, because we’re not human beings with problems just like them, but unicorns? Also, they don’t even think it’s worth the time to actually get to know these mystical beings, because it will only marginally benefit them, which is the main point of course. Oh and finally, racial inequality is solely black people’s fault for not maintaining the family unit. Uhh huh.
White Republicans are afraid of everything.
White Republicans are terrified of black folks because if we ever reach any semblance of equality they’ll have no one to blame for their inadequacies, they’ll have no one to look down upon, and they’ll be forced to face their own part in oppressing minorities. They don’t appreciate us as fully realized human beings, equals because to do so is to face the true evil of their behavior.
+1 point.
Yep, 400 years of ripping our families apart followed by 100 years of second class citizenship and then a war waged largely on the backs of young black men can do that to a people.
