O’Reilly should follow this advice (although he won’t), but there’s no evidence it comes from Twain, or Lincoln either, although it’s often ascribed to both, and many others. Sorry, it’s a pet peeve.

I think we’re giving short shrift to Billo’s comment. When you think about it, it’s hard to think of a group in this country more oppressed, or with more obstacles placed in their way by society, than white Christian men. Our Founding Fathers obviously had a huge blind spot in their view of the under-served in our society.
