Meh. Maher can be so utterly abrasive, smug, trite and annoying sometimes. Ultimately, he’s a political ally for us on most things, but his delivery has gone way downhill. The older he gets, the more crotchety and mean-spirited he seems to get, and he’s certainly always been somewhat of a know-it-all type.
Yeah…I think that’s really hurt him in terms of people’s perception of him.
if Maher had actually shone a little sunlight on the aired version then yes, he could claim some credit.

I enjoy a good Bill Maher rant as much as the next person, and there have been some good ones.
But the idea that his interview with Yiannopoulos helped bring the guy down is nonsense. Yiannopoulos crashed and burned because of his pro-pedophilia comments, which had nothing to do with Maher’s interview.
Maher is a smug ass. His pompous, self-righteous attitude shows the worst of the Liberal elite.
I am a Democrat in a red state, BTW, and Maher really gets us out here in ‘flyover’ country wrong. Maher should do a month of shows from Missoula, MT or Boise, ID and get an idea of what happens between the coasts.
