Maher is bigoted against Muslims, has been for a long time and that’s why I refuse to watch his show now. I don’t care if liberal or other, a bigot is a bigot. Reza Aslan needs to slap him around a bit more again.

and maybe if they showed a picture of it that showed the actual size of it, people might think differently, they always make it look a lot larger then it was.

Bill Maher is neither funny nor intelligent. He is an arrogant piece of shit, and always has been. I do not understand why any thinking or feeling person has ever had one moment of sympathy toward him. Smug, smarmy scumbucket.
Of course, even if everyone on earth hated him, his opinion of himself is so exalted he’d never notice a thing.

Because, er, Bill has seen a bomb on TV? Makes him an expert? Seriously, time bombs have two essential parts, the timer (present) and the part that goes boom (not present). At least that ‘half a bomb’ comment was slightly better in this regard. (To be fair, you also need an initiator, but thats usually small and buried in the part that goes boom…)
Without the part that goes boom, this is indistinguishable from a clock. Seriously, does anyone think that a white nerd in the same situation would have been detained and suspended?

Frankly, I think this was local government’s way of telling his parents that it was time to move somewhere else. The illusion I had that things had improved in this country in the last fifty years is now totally destroyed.

For all that I agree with Maher on, he lets his hatred for religion get out of control and cloud his judgment when it comes to the Muslim/Islamaphobia issue, and I can’t stand it.

Miller is a complete nothing, which puts him numerous levels above Maher in the pecking order of humanity.

Exactly. Bombs only have big LED countdown timers on TV and in the movies. You won’t find any real bombs that look like this. Now throw in the fact he told everybody it wasn’t a bomb, repeatedly, and that they obviously believed him or they would have been evacuating the entire school and calling in the bomb squad.
What do you have left? Harassment, plain and simple.

He is way off the rails on this one…and this is the second week in a row he has driven into the ditch over this kid.
In general, this show was pretty ho hum. I mean, the Speaker of the House resigned. Scott Walker, the guy who was the front runner just 2 months ago, resigned his campaign. And Maher barely even mentioned either situation.
He is going to get push back on this issue from viewers, and in typical Maher fashion, he will have a snit and invite a bunch of right wingers on his show who agree with him. When Maher finds himself being criticized, he invariably responds like petulant child.

And having seen the photos of it, I can say it doesn’t look like a bomb. It looks like a clock. A bomb would have explosives attached to it somewhere and I haven’t seen any. Given that it would be nearly impossible to buy C4 and difficult to get one’s hands on black powder, the only thing left would be a pipe bomb, and I don’t see anything like pipes on the clock.

This is why I don’t watch his show.
He is suppose to be such a liberal…yeah, a liberal who’s guests are always crazy gop/bags. That he lets screech over the top of all other guests for the entire hour. Until I’m ready to throw something at the TV.
