Discussion for article #229642
Are they gonna begin to allow things to happen? Or are they gonna continue to be obstructionists? And I think they’re gonna choose to get things done."
Oh Joe, I’d say you were being foolish except that would be rude.
Joe, it ain’t even snowing yet and you are already over your skis. But, I can relax now. Fortunately, I already voted.
Republicans should “pursue every means possible to repeal Obamacare,”
Cruz said, including forcing a vote through parliamentary procedures
that would get around a possible filibuster by Democrats. If that leads
to a veto by Obama, Cruz said, Republicans should then vote on
provisions of the health law “one at a time.”
Well, that IS “getting things done” I guess.
Hey, at least Joe isn’t waving the white flag. Give 'em Hell, Joe.
If Biden’s prediction is that Dems will remain in the Senate, then i wholeheartedly agree. If his prediction, however, is that Dems will maintain control of the Senate, then i fear that will only be true if that control is used via the fillibuster. Tit for tat. What goes around, comes around.
Exactly. If all one does is listen to cable and lazy pundits, you’d think this election was over a month ago. Pleazzzzze people…quit being debbie-downers and go vote tomorrow if you haven’t already. It ain’t over till its over. Loyal Dems don’t need to pile-on to help depress the vote. There is a good ground game in a lot of areas around the country. Maybe not in your backyard…but local elections count on turnout as well. Don’t let corporate media call the shots for this election. They’re working hard at it and there’s a reason for that, just as there has been since the day this President took office. Corporate media’s interests don’t align with the average American…Just remember that, would ya? If anything…let’s try to mitigate the damage if it really comes to that…
That Biden would say that about the Republicans makes it clear that he’s spinning, not doing serious analysis…which makes his prediction less encouraging, too.
I have to admit to getting a bit of a sick giggle at the thought of it ending up being a 50-50 split, with Biden becoming the most important VP in history and then watching, popcorn in hand, the GOP/Teatrolls’ apoplectic fits over that situation.
Majority leader is elected by a majority of the caucus, correct? It would be almost worth putting up with two years of a Republican Senate if McConnell were to be re-elected and then lose out as majority leader to Rafa or someone else.
He’s right that Dems will keep the senate, but GOTP will never get anything done. They don’t know how. It’s in their nature to loaf, bunch of lazy skeezeballs.
That would be sweet. I remember in 2012 a couple days before the election, all the doomsday predictions on “Liberal Media” AKA GOTP Media shills predicting possible RMoney win. I finally turned those crappy so-called “Liberal” GOTP shills off. I couldn’t bear to hear their crap. I knew Obama would win. It was all based on harsh likely voter screens just like now. Because in registered screens, Dems were leading just like now. How do you go from leading RMoney all year to suddenly having RMoney with a chance to win because of 1 debate. Seriously, how stupid do these idiots think we are? Dems will keep the senate. Dems: 1. GOTP/Liberal media shills: 0
I agree with the V.P. here. Sure there are plenty of crazies out there but at the end of the day most voters know Republicans rule but Democrats govern. Hopefully this holds true here in NC. Sen Hagan has run an effective campaign against Tillis, who knows nothing of governing.
Biden hearkens back to a time when Democrats were confident, forceful and optimistic. I share his optimism about tomorrow and would gladly support his candidacy if he decides to run in 2016.
He made mincemeat of Paul Ryan, the supposed “brain” of the GOP, in his 2012 VP debate, and would make a strong and effective leader as President.
Wish more Democrats shared his optimism.
well I hope so Vice President Biden, Slava Rossiya!
