BTW…I have been watching quite a lot of the coverage and you know something…I don’t see the protests and walk outs and sit ins and such. Maybe that’s because I’m watching CSPAN. I’m starting to feel like the Bernie or Bust people aren’t that numerous.
Also…While Clinton isn’t my first choice for nominee, neither was Obama, Kerry, Gore or Clinton. Still voted for them anyway.
It blows my mind that a certain segment of the population would rather throw this country away than share it with people of color.
Don’t get it wrong, there are smart people in the Republican party who understand the implications of a Trump presidency, yet they would rather take that risk than see “her” win.
I can do some horrible things when I’m in a bad mood but extreme racism and misogyny that endangers myself, my family and the country I live in is not on the list.
The kids in my daughters pre-k class have a better temperament than the people who “want their country back”
And the REAL mind-blower is that these people are enough to elect a President.
Here, I believe, the adults left in the United States are going to have get off the “election circus” and figure out how to avert this.
The key people, in my opinion, are white women. More of them–MUCH MORE–are going to have to vote for Hillary. The overall white population is too large for minorities to, themselves alone, elect Hillary, ESPECIALLY if enough women vote for Trump.
There may be too much latent self loathing and misogyny in the white women segment of the electorate to hang our hat on them in this election.

White women for TRUMP are no more ‘self loathing’ than Republican women that vote for Republicans that constantly and consistently vote against their own self interests. ‘White’ women and women overall will be voting Democratic this fall. I’m less sanguine than you about white women casting their votes in the majority for Hillary. Below is admittedly just one poll, but I would not be surprised if these results were reproduced over the course of the next three months. I also think it is legitimate to posit when polled white women may under report their allegiance to Trump. Daddy, with lots of money; flashy cars and planes and helicopters; opulent residences; lavish lifestyle; cocky and boastful and supremely self assured. Why, Trump is every white woman’s dream.

The women below, and millions more just like them, are not tingling with piss in their pants excitement over Trump’s tax reform promises, his trade stances, his Wall. Trump PERSONALLY gets them wet. People underestimate that.

In “Trump World” Ignorance is Strength. Knowledge is Dangerous. “The Other” is the cause of all problems. Fear and Hatred are all consuming. REVENGE, no matter the cost, is demanded for any perceived slight no matter how small. Trump knows all, sees all, and can “make it all better” with just his presence.
