Discussion: Biden Rails Against Xenophobia From US Politicians: 'It's Un-American'

Where does Biden get off commenting on policy matters? As far as I know he doesn’t own any golf courses.

Unless you ignore pretty much the entirety of US history, it seems pretty much exactly American.

Are we sending senior Administration overseas in Trump’s general area to limit the damage he causes?

Maybe we should do that domestically as well.

CNN (aka: FOX Lite) has spent the better part of the day screeching: “This could be bad new for the Clinton campaign.”; “The same forces that led to this vote could put Donald Trump in the White House.”; “Clinton should be worried.”; Trump can use this to his advantage…blah, blah, blah." It’s been a constant drum beat.

Gawwd, it’s been a one-sided cheer for Trump and a wholesale failure to look at the demographics of this country and compare them to those of Great Britain. No doubt that Hair Furor will try to turn this to his advantage, but it won’t work (He’s already flailing and failing badly.) __ and IF …IF that xenophobic tribalism he specializes in should put him in the White House, well…we were already gone and I just couldn’t see it.

Vote in November!

Immigration wasn’t the only issue in the Brexit vote, and neither will it be the only issue in the American Presidential vote. Those bashing the Brexit vote obviously have a vested interest in the previous status quo. It was great seeing democracy in action, as the English and Welsh majority put the Brexit vote over the top by almost 1 million votes. Britain will be fine. The U.S. will be fine. The EU, in the long run, probably not so fine, as more Countries have their own Brexit votes.

MSNBC did the same. What a bunch of idiots these people are. They just need to talk about something even if it is stupid.

Actually immigration was the original driver of the issue and once again the haters appealed to the fears of the stupids. They used footage of immigrants from SYRIA crossing the borders even though it wasn’t the UK borders, Of course they used other issues like the poles coming over and taking jobs. Some the idiots who voted thought they were making a statement and never thought it would actually happen - proving once again the stupidity. And again scared old white people wanting things the way they used to be and the young people who wanted to remain just didn’t bother to vote - they had better things to do\

Well, call them haters, if you want. But, it seems like those who are into globalism (=as manifested in the global economy) just want to live wherever they want in the world? Ain’t gonna happen. People have a very important right to have views on immigration, especially in this over-populated world of ours. Over-population, lack of resources, improved longevity, climate change, etc. will only increase the likelihood of votes like the British Brexit. You can call it whatever you want, but it will become the norm.

My two thin cents worth?
Trump knows golf courses, hotels, and casinos. And branding the family name. He doesn’t know shit about governing, state craft, dealing with Congress (he’s making an enemy of Mitch McConnell which sucks as a tactic). He’s the absolute worst candidate in my lifetime and that’s the better part of 7 decades.

Nitpick alert, BUT… yet another headline proclaiming a Dem “rails against” something? How about dusting off the thesaurus? I am as tired of reading this lazy writing as I am the references to Trump as the “billionaire businessman”.

The Landlord Killing Industry?

Protestant landlords of Anglo-Irish descendancy installed by Cromwell owned 90 percent of all land in Ireland in 1860. Even with that imbalance, landlord killing was quite rare. You needed an organized conspiracy to get at the guy and most landlords were absentee landlords living in England, safely remote from their tenants. Modernly, corporations tend to be the land owners, so how do you kill “The Durst Organization” or “Brookfield Asset Management”? Indeed, with owners like Robert Durst, the landlord seems more likely to kill you.

Conservatism denies this exists.

Additionally, some of the top Google searches after the vote were trying to find basic EU information. It seems many voters were saying what did I vote against.

The anti Muslim activities are truely unAmerican. Look at the Treaty of Tripoli (1796) were it specifically states: Art. 11. As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion; as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquility, of Mussulmen (Muslims); and as the said States never entered into any war or act of hostility against any Mahometan (Mohammedan) nation, it is declared by the parties that no pretext arising from religious opinions shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries.
