Obviously, I hope we win, but Joe’s prediction ability isn’t all that fantastic here.
It would be a mistake to “pour money in” because the other sides’ pockets are endlessly deep–and it just gets the Trumpers backs up. Just play it like a good old fashioned pre money-means-everything (and nothing for Democrats) campaigns we now have.
The fact that Moore came off his big primary victory with a lead of only 5 points over Jones is a hopeful sign. Moore has huge name recognition and his victory no doubt pumped up his numbers. I suspect they will only go down from here.
I don’t subscribe to the meme of the bottomless R campaign coffers vs the Ds limited funds. Ds will do very well in raising money for this campaign.
Key will be to get the AA voters to come out in large numbers. Send in surrogates such as John Lewis for that. It will be great if Bill Clinton showed up as well.
