Of course, what Giuliani really means by “respectful of the police” is “respect my authority!”. It’s just another person blaming black people for the structural racism that sees them singled out more often by the police. Giuliani was one of the people who helped to enforce that structure, so it’s not a surprise that he’s in favor of a system where black parents are more afraid of the police killing their kids, to the point of telling them to avoid the police even when they need help.
White racists like Guiliani love to call black people racists. That’s a Republican schtick. Like Bush said, they have created an alternative universe.
