As I have noted before, Biden/Beto with Joe volunteering to serve one term…
Beto could use the seasoning provided by 4 years of serving as VP…
That should hold the fort till 2032…
I’d rather see the Dems go young. Perhaps Beto/Harris - not that I have any clue whether or not the two get along…
I sense that he’s someone I could vote for with joy in my heart, which I was able to do with Obama twice. The chance to vote with joy in your heart is exceedingly rare, has only come once in my lifetime–I’d love to experience it at least one more time.
After Trump?
You could pull someone off the street and they would do a better job.
I believe Beto could do it
He ran with no pac money and is not owned by anyone
Who else in the field can say that?
My dog could do a better job than Individual-1. Lizzy is a herding dog, she has more focus and a longer attention span than Adderall Adolf ever will, even with drugs.
The only knock I had against BHO was that it was clear the office overwhelmed him the first 6 months to a year, not surprising given the state of the nation then. He certainly did not exude the quiet confident leadership that his later years displayed. For example, hacks like Larry Summer convinced him to go softly on the banks.
The next president has to be very very effective if only to undo the damage that the Doddering Dotard has inflicted. We don’t need a neophyte on a 2 year learning curve…
Beto is utterly unqualified in both education and experience to do the job as President.
Executive experience in large organization? None.
Foreign policy experience? None.
Military experience? None.
Judicial experience? None.
Important legislative accomplishments? None.
Political experience? Loser.
He is Sarah Palin in a suit.
Watch this and tell me if you feel the same way
Remember who you’re replying to.
Yes, and … ya can’t undo the damage if you don’t win the Presidency first.
I believe, provisionally anyway, that Beto may have the highest odds of winning a general election. While I agree with everything you said, I’ll take the unseasoned winner over the experienced loser.
I believe personally that you’re right.
And have we impeached the motherfucker yet?
Ya I know
It was just to remind us that he is a good possibility.
I had not heard of him when I saw this , but went wow!
Sometimes you have to take elect-ability into consideration.
Even though he lost, he forced Republicans to pull out all the stops in Texas in a race that had previously been phoned in
In the aftermath of the Crash of 2008, there were no available road maps to guide the Obama presidency, just like there were no road maps available to Bush after 911.
Few presidents had to face what President Obama inherited: two ill-advised wars spinning out of control, 800,000 people losing their job each month, six million who lost their homes, the banking industry circling the drain, the housing markets mired in record foreclosures and a clogged up credit market, and record high annual deficits, among other challenges.
And he had to function with half of Congress, and half the voting public, screaming, “I want my country back!” and determined to put as many roadblocks in his way as possible.
Overall, I think he did a very good job, but I’ll let history be the judge.
Yeah like the last 3 presidents have had so much experience.
This is History speaking
He did a great fucking job against pricks like McConnell and the Conservative entertainment complex that tried at every turn to derail him
and he won a second term
This kind of gross exaggeration weakens your argument. Just let the facts lie where they may.
And you, sir, are an ass! Your commentary in this instance is all kinds of wrong.
Stick around - it’s not just this instance, it’s everything.
I know. And I am usually able to ignore it. But really…
