Please tell me there’s a track on there of Howard Dean covering James Brown.
A former neighbor of mine once said he lived in Burlington when Bernie was mayor.
He said despite Bernie calling himself a socialist – and I don’t know if he did back then – he said Bernie was a good, salt of the earth kind of guy and not a big-government type.
He said he once asked to get a pothole on his street fixed, but Bernie told him it would be too expensive for the city due to all the expenses such as as putting out for a bid, meeting guidelines, etc. and instead gave my former neighbor the name and number of a local paving company that would drop a few shovelfuls onto the pothole and pat it down.
