Putting aside all the other crap this clown is spouting, it was simply not the case that most people in Nazi Germany didnât believe in what Hitler was doing. Quite the opposite, at least until the war was obviously lost.

Pretty dumb statements really. Nobody said poor people do not have pride, but pride is not enough economically. They want to better themselves with jobs and such. That is fine, but to pay their taxes. Not sure if that is high on the list.
So, he would raise taxes on the poor and middle class and cut it on the rich. Even if you close loopholes it would still largely depend on how interest and such is taxed. I imagine he is against that.
And the government is not really that involved in the ACA. I know some will argue but private insurance is doing much of the work. The government just requires everybody to have it and helps it be affordable. Other than that the relationship is not much changed. Oh, and additional protections.

Although it was almost 25 years ago, so Foxbots have probably forgotten it. And, on the plus side, it was uttered by another âI hate Affirmative Action and Government support for anyone but myselfâ paragon of dipshittery.

Yes, there is definitely a dearth of pushback against Obama by those disagreeing with his policies. If only there was a major, #1 rated propaganda machine, ahem, news network, blasting criticism 24/7/365 against him. Or seemingly endless radio outlets hiring a stream of hosts to lambaste Obama. Or major newspapers, magazines, web sites, blogs, think tanks, lobbyists, PACS and others to advocate Obama's downfall and removal from office. Yeah, it's a damned shame so few people speak out. The government muzzles free speech very effectively. Apathy reigns.

Problem Ben is that the poor man earning the $10 will pay the buck but the wealthy man earning the $10B will not, in fact youâd be lucky if he paid $100M. That is 10% for the poor man and 1% for the wealthy. Lastly the poor man will understand that his buck had helped pay for roads, airports, bridges, cops, firemen, teachers, etc, etc, etc while the wealthy will only be pissing and moaning about how much they paid.
The only way this method of taxation would become even remotely workable is that 100% of all tax loopholes, breaks, etc end and that 100% of all income no matter how or where it was earned is included. No oil company tax breaks or subsidies, no farm subsidies, no off shore hiding of wealth, dividends are included, no deferred income, etc, etc, etc, etc⌠This would result in a tax break for the lower income taxpayers as they historically are in the 25% or more range. It would be a very large tax increase for the wealthy as they with all their current games are usually in the 10% range. So in essence Ben you are saying exactly what your Progressive opponents state, Tax the Wealthy.

I like it, and will have to remember it. But, in fairness, the guy does seem to be a highly competent surgeon, even if his views are pretty sociopathic.

When Ben Carson, again, were to end up with as limited an amount of disposable income, no matter how many hours they put in, as do a large number of people who donât make six or seven figure incomes, like he does, maybe then he could talk.
Perhaps he could ask some of his relatives what THEY think? Like Ann Romneyâs nail person provided her with her perspectives on earnings and taxation? Or maybe not so much.
It seems to be a common flat-tax selling point that it automagically comes with the elimination of loopholes, write-offs, etc, etc. Suuuure it would.
