“I left it with my wife,” he told the committee.

A real man.

“The woman: she gave it to me.” Will they soon be cast out of Eden?

Did I miss something? Were Dr. Carson and his wife confirmed as co-Secretaries of State? Two for one?

Not mentioned in these articles is the $17,000 couch he’ll be sleeping on.

“Well, I’m a Republican, so I definitely can’t be responsible for anything. And you know, when I really think about it, she may be a Democrat.”

I guess he doesn’t have any staff to help out at HUD. Thank God his wife was willing to step in.

Imagine for just a second that we had a female cabinet secretary whose husband had to come in and help her do the job. The world would lose their shit and we’d hear all kinds of stuff about the woman being unable to do a man’s job. It infuriates me.

Asked how protecting the rights of transgender individuals could impact others’ rights, Carson said that “there are some women who said they were not comfortable with the idea of being in a shelter, being in a shower, and somebody who had a very different anatomy.”

Because cooties.

Linda McMahon’s husband redecorated the SBA offices. Most people were dubious folding chairs, cheap collapsing banquet tables and step ladders were really “The next big thing!!” but he seemed someone you didn’t want to argue with.

In fairness, that was the how the news orginially broke too. Candy thought the furniture needed to be upgraded, and she started making the decisions.

Which is kind of a big problem, since he wife has absolutely no role in government, and should therefore have no role in spending tax payer money.

But it gets worse, at least to me, because of this lie:

"The next Carson heard about the dining set was that a $31,000 set had been ordered, he told the committee. He said he immediately had it cancelled.

“I thought that that was excessive,” Carson said."

That is complete bullshit. A HUD employee spilled the beans, the media got a hold of it, and only then, after a few days/maybe a week, did he cancel the order.

So, shirking his duties, letting a relative with no governmental authority spend taxpayer money without any oversight on his part, hiding behind her skirt when he gets call to the mat…and lying about it to boot.

He should be turning in his resignation today, not meeting with any House Committee.
