And Uncle Ben Carson’s so-called sanity is still an unproven state of mind.

Probably true.

If you have an education or skills to fall back on. If you have healthcare and access to food so you don’t have to worry about your family, then perhaps you can focus on an “opportunity”.

Show me where the Republicans support any of that. Without a safety net, poverty is hell not just a state of mind.

Ben Carson is the 2nd most mentally challenged person in the Trump administration, and equally heartless with all the rest.

So what can we make of Crazy Ben’s ramblings?

“I think poverty to a large extent is also a state of mind.

War on the Poor?

and that’s where government can come in and be very helpful,” he said. “It can provide the ladder of opportunity

Big government is good?

This from a man who frequently would lead you to believe by his comments that he is out of his mind.

What help is he talking about? It seems he is not very clear about his intent here. Would need to see more of his statement to know what he is trying to say.

“Poverty to a large extent” describes the value of Carson’s ideology.

Stuck on ‘mandatory’ and ‘approved’. Why do certain people always think we all need their help - to show us the ‘way’? That’s the question I always have trouble with.

Ben Carson wants to show the ‘right way’, remember his home with the Jesus and Ben pic ?

Yeah, yeah, the obligatory Ben Carson eccentric chronicles. Fuck Carson, etc. But

OT

In news of other political violence:

The two leaders clasped each other’s hands, leaning in towards each other slightly. Mr Trump started to pull away, but Mr Macron held on tighter and refused to let him go, the BBC’s Tara McKelvey reports.

Also:

After meeting Mr Trump, EU President Donald Tusk said they had agreed on “many areas” but had differences over Russia.
"I’m not 100% sure we can say that we have a common position, a common opinion on Russia"

This is serious shit right here.

“You take somebody that has the right mindset, you can take everything from them and put them on the street, and I guarantee in a little while they’ll be right back up there.”

Straight out of the Randolph and Mortimer Duke playbook?

He might be dumber than Sarah Palin.

You know what else is a state of mind? Stupidity.

“But there is no reason the government shouldn’t make as many people as possible run the gauntlet,” he added. “Certain conditions — poor schools, hunger, homelessness, poverty and what have you — builds character. There is no reason the government should deny people these character building experiences, especially when it costs us nothing to do so.”

Someone please remind gentle Ben that the quote is “Blessed are the poor…in spirit.”
