Here’s what it actually says:
“Lest we forget at least an over-the-shoulder acknowledgment to the very first radical: from all our legends, mythology, and history… the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom — Lucifer.”
Sounds sort of tongue-in-cheek to me. Then again, I’m not a hyper-somnambulistic dominionist brain donor surgeon.
This is the kind of thing that makes you sigh and wonder if we’ll ever be able to have a common frame of reference with some of these people. If you’re so humorless, literal-minded, fundamentalist in your religion and willing to believe the absurd worst about people, if you think Alinsky wasn’t making an interesting kind of dramatic analogy and was in fact literally dedicating his book to the devil, I wonder whether we can have a constructive “dialogue.” It’s like an obvious bad first date; it’s just not gonna happen.
“So are we willing to elect someone as president who has as their role model someone who acknowledges Lucifer?” he asked.
Trump raped his wife. I think that counts for something!
Well, the Bible acknowledges Lucifer, so are we going to elect someone who claims to believe in the Bible? And both of the two Corinthians as well. This man is so stupid that he is incapable of realizing how stupid he is.
I wonder whether we can have a constructive “dialogue.”
These people truly believe that Adam and Eve had vegetarian T-Rexes for neighbors in the Garden of Eden 5,000 years ago. They believe evolution is a Satanic myth. They believe their extensively cherry-picked reading of the Bible is the literal word of God.
No, there will be no constructive dialogue with them. Our only option is to keep them as far away from political power as possible.
People say she has a picture of Jesus on her doormat, so she can trample his face each and every day. There’s something going on. People also say she brings a lot of light to a room. Suspicious.
Linking Hilary to Lucifer–OMG, does this mean Hilary is the new Kevin Bacon?
Certainly not with some. On the other hand there’s a fundie minister who served for years on a local school board as a valued and constructive member, a smart, sensible guy who kept his religion mostly to himself. If you can compartmentalize it that way and be a pluralist in your public life, I don’t care what kind of magical thinking you indulge at home or in church. Just keep it out of the third-grade science books and yeah, I can work with you. But Carson and his ilk, sheesh, no way no how.
it acknowledges Lucifer, the original radical who gained his own kingdom.
Trump’s role model
Absolutely agree there can be NO DIALOGUE at all with these freaks. On the right hand side of this blog, is an ad for a movie called, “Hillary’s America.” It’ll lose every dime that was put into making it but that wasn’t the point of its being.
RWNJ’s believe their message of hate, destruction, betrayal and ruin is so widely confirmed in the general public that making money off this and other fiascos doesn’t matter; getting their message out is all that matters.

Except, it’s now getting to point where the ideas that I just outlined above are getting pushed out into the mainstream by these freaks. They’re no longer keeping it to themselves because they know that they’ve run out of time. Much like wounded animals, they’re lashing out trying to convince the American public that their ideas are “good” and “right.”
They’ve been indulged to the point where they now believe that their “ideas” are accepted by the public at large.
Big news here. The GOP does not like Clinton. Watch the millions of new voters who just discovered that fact flock to the polls to vote Trump
Yep, Hillary is linked to Saul Alinsky who is linked by Ben to Lucifer. And Ben is linked to the Antichrist. Look it up.
Ah, after watching the Democrats have a primary, I was beginning to think this election would be about things like the minimum wage, student loan debt, black incarceration, when to go to war, gun ownership, and so on. How silly of me. We’re back to Beelzebub.
This convention is the convention of pure hate across the board. No one has spoken about policies and what they would try to do to improve the country. Heck, even Romney’s ideas in 2008 (such as more trickle-down economics which has obviously been proven to be horribly wrong at state and federal levels) were at least ideas that they thought would improve the country. Drumpf acceptance speech will essentially consist of puerile name-calling. What a positive contrast the Democratic convention will provide.
Reason and logic do not apply in Ben Carson’s universe. Belief in the salvation of his grubby little soul is all that matters. If the world goes to hell, the sooner the better.
Republicans knew this as well as LBJ did, but figured they could use the fundy votes to reverse FDR, et al. Instead we got an empowered religious subgroup that intends to first destroy all other religions, and then take over the world they believe to be evil. Reason and logic are in fact their sworn enemy.
But he did have his picture done with Jebus…even if Jebus was a funny color
There is something DEEPLY disturbed with that man
So, is that how I can defeat Trump? Just refuse to acknowledge him?
“And if we continue to allow them to take God out of our lives, God will remove himself from us.”
One thing I find interesting about the “religious” right is how the faith they go on and on about is so weak that it needs constant governmental support to be sustained. And they don’t have an ounce of trust in God. It’s perfectly reasonable from their perspective that God would turn his back on these allegedly faithful Christians because their side is unable to win elections…
