Discussion: Ben Carson: Heart Aches For Charleston Victims, But I Fear Rise Of 'New Hate'

Discussion for article #237615

Look in the mirror.

You are as big of a purveyor of hate as those you are now claiming to condemn. Or did you forget comparing Obamacare to slavery and the IRS to the Nazis?

Doctor, go fuck heal thyself.

It’s the same old hate, Dr. Carson. You know, the R word that the other R word hates to talk about.

He also said this

“The reason I think we need to seal our borders completely, all of our borders—north, south, east, west—is not so much because I’m afraid of somebody in Honduras … I’m afraid of someone from Syria that wants to bomb us and wants to do bad things.”
— Ben Carson ®, quoted by National Journal.

Uncle Ben, the Base is already really uneasy that in their eyes you’re a ni(CLANG!). Don’t compound matters by telling then you have a heart as well.

Well, Ben, since you, yourself, are an apostle of hate, your words ring a little hollow. Your attitude in this matter is, shall we say, a tad hypocritical.

We all need to be the change we want to see in the world.

I welcome Dr. Carson to join all of us in tamping down the eliminationist rhetoric, paranoia, scapegoating, and bigotry that currently fuels so much hatred among Americans.

Because I hate Carson’s silly, mediawhoring opportunistic Uncle Tomism, I’m just like Dylann Storm Roof.

Hmmkay. . .

Carson, like the rest of the GOP candidates, is a field general in the Culture War of New Hate. How much would Ben Carson’s heart have ached if the nine murdered church-goers had been LGBT members of a Metropolitan Community Church? Would he have bothered to make a statement on his Facebook page, or found the courage to decry the violence against the gay community or a predominantly gay congregation?

So long as the good doctor continues to denigrate the relationships of gay and lesbian couples as equivalent to bestiality and incest, to oppose adding sexual orientation and gender identity to long-established anti-discrimination laws and civil rights statutes and to promote anti-gay second-class citizenship as federal policy, the good doctor’s nice kumbaya words ring hollow. He can sit the F down and instead should prescribe himself and his GOP colleagues massive doses of their own bitter medicine.
