There’s also that pesky rape issue involving a 13 year old girl. Let’s not forget that issue looming over the President-elect from the “moral party.”
Edit: TPM regulars have alerted me that this case may not/never did/no longer exists. There are 75 other suits pending against him, with others undoubtedly to follow.
Then there will be the inevitable conflicts of interest between Trump the POTUS and Trump the businessman.
Gonna be ugly.
In a perfect world Drumpf would have a court date set for Jan. 20, 2017.
@charliee That suit was withdrawn, allegedly due to threats against the plaintiff.
How about the hundreds of businesses he owns? He thinks having Ivanka, Junior and Eric run them is the same as a blind trust.
He’s a walking, talking conflict of interest.
When he breaks the constitution, which he will, will Pauly Ryan and his Freedom Caucasians impeach him for it?
Can it be? We elected a president worse than George W. Bush?
Trumpers, of the “family values” party, threatened a child? Nice.
Dear the press. Don’t pretend that you all of a sudden have come to know all these grave existential threats about that fascist, start covering them, and feel good about yourself. You had months to intensively cover his REAL legal issues, REAL conflict of interest and pay-to-play, his cozy, troubling relationship with Putin. And yet, you persistently kept hammering Hillary about her emails and the CF instead. We know how many minutes you spent on what, how many articles you wrote, about each of those candidates in what way.
These are civil suits. No possible jail time. Even if it goes to trial he loses, it will not matter. True believers will yell “PERSECUTION!”.
I’m wondering if the House will continue to investigate Hillary… I mean, why not? It’s what they do.
That suit was withdrawn.
There might be an upside to this. He’ll be in court so often he won’t have time to be president.
But that would leave us with Pence, unthinkably worse.
Lets not forget the R.I.C.O. trial set to open in December.
She was receiving death threats and dropped the case in fear for her safety.
Those found guilty of racketeering can be fined up to $25,000 and sentenced to 20 years in prison per racketeering count. In addition, the racketeer must forfeit all ill-gotten gains and interest in any business gained through a pattern of “racketeering activity.”
Maybe there is hope. But that would leave us with Pence. So much for hope.
Whadaya mean “we”, paleface.
My guess is that he will just settle this case. I know Trump says he never settles, but in fact he settles all the time. In this case, he has the perfect excuse. He can say he still doesn’t believe the case has any merit, but it would be too distracting for him to have to appear in court on it, so he will magnanimously offer all these students their money back and then some to make the case go away.
That’s a rhetorical question, right?
Impeach her in absentia
I hate to rain on your parade, but signing whatever crap congress puts in front of him won’t take very long.
