Discussion: Before DOJ, Whitaker Spent 3 Years At Right-Wing Advocacy Group Attacking Dems

Is this Brett Kavanaugh’s brother by another mother?

This guy is a joke and a hacktivist, and Democrats should attack his (lack of) credibility every single day that he’s at DOJ. They should have been doing it already, as it was obvious when he was made Sessions’ chief of staff that DT was grooming him to do what he’s about to do.

I really think that Trump gave this guy the gig because he seemed to be loyal and he ā€˜looked the part’.

My guess is that more dirt is going to come bubbling up (roid rage or something else) and Trump is going to kick him to the curb.

Let’s just hope that Trump doesn’t then reel Scott Pruitt back in and offer him the job… cuz he is on the record as saying he wants it and he has already already been confirmed by the Senate.

You missed something in your Whitaker Bio…

Whitaker formerly was employed by business that was shutdown for Fraud while he was at the helm, along with a $26 Million fine from the FTC.

I would expect nothing less.

Whitaker will last as long as Scaramucci, Admiral Ronny Jackson at the VA, and that thoroughly vetted judge who never saw the the inside of a courtroom.

About 2 weeks.
(I hope)

I’m watching to see how dumb this dude is! Lawrence O’Donnell says we should be measuring how dumb this life size Mr. Clean will be while ā€œfaking to be the acting AGā€!

The man was a legal goombah for a company that was shuttered for fraud. His job was threatening complaining customers. He’s a crook. Period. Paragraph.

He has no business running the Justice Department.

This is a much more potent line of attack than his political history.

He was on the advisory board. This kind of thing is more along the lines of Wingnut Welfare. Put some politically connected people on your board, they get a lot of money, you get some political connections that may help you, everyone wins except the public.

Between this and the attack-tank gig, he’s really a wingnut welfare king.

ETA: No, from the subsequent article it looks like he also did some semi-legal work in the process of collecting his fee. Work that might get him into an interesting position.

Fair point.

Since Whitaker’s now the Acting AG and therefore our highest law enforcement officer in the land- and as this issue involves professional ethics- let’s clear the air by appointing an independent investigator to confirm he isn’t tainted by an already adjudicated issue of criminal fraud.

Because let’s be honest, his professional background does not meet the typical high standards for this office.

It’s not just white evangelicals, there’s a right wing style of Catholicism that doesn’t get enough attention for being off their rockers extremists.

I don’t know about Russian but this guy looks like he was riding the Mercer money gravy train. The entire administration is full of these folks and I’m starting to get the feeling that maybe there’s more than just similar goals shared between Mercer and Putin.
