One of my favourite players from the 80s. I must have bought a hundred packs of 1987 Topps minis to get his card.
Rest in peace buddy.
He was a great player and a terrific person. 54 is very young.
That’s terrible news. Such a good guy.
One of the truly great people in baseball, on and off the field.
RIP and you will be missed, Tony.
Fucking chewing tobacco.
I used to love watching that guy hit. He put on clinics.
Really sorry to hear about Tony’s premature passing. He was a class act and a rare talent who was flirting with batting .400 when the players went on strike.
Tony Gwynn was one of those players I always watched when I had the chance even though he didn’t play for my team. A great hitter who played hard, loved the game and represented it so well off the field as well. A good person gone too soon
