Discussion: Barr's Most Absurd Defenses Of Trump's Obstructive Conduct

Interesting that Kamala showed he hadn’t read Mueller’s evidence, taking a summary report to be “evidence”.

More amusing were the responses suggesting he hasn’t even read the damned thing.

Lying dickhead.

Hope tomorrow is even more stressful for you. You won’t have Lindsey to slap people’s wrists…

After this performance, you can’t even call him a sell-out anymore. He’s just a cheap whore.

He did not need to read the evidence. It was the report that he was trying to refute (or falsely characterize), and he already knew exactly what he wanted to portray as the outcome. The evidence is just that much more inconvenient material to deal with.

“By now, it’s pretty clear that Attorney General Bill Barr thinks there was nothing unusual — let alone potentially criminal — about President Trump’s intervention in the federal Russia investigation.”

No, no! Barr claims that, knowing that he is lying. If he thought that, he could never have graduated from law school.

I suppose William Barr had very little worries about destroying that itsy-bitsy teenie-weenie shred of a good reputation or integrity he had left.

Of course, Lindsey Graham never had any worries whatsoever, since he never had a good reputation or any integrity in the first place.

The corruption of this AG is just breath-taking. He apparently isn’t smart enough to construct decent lies. Watched about 30 minutes of this nonsense in the senate and finally, for my own sanity had to turn off the TV. America has lost the Senate as any kind of bulwark against corruption and betrayal of our country.

Thanks, Republicans.

At close to $200,000 per year plus benefits I would hardly call him “cheap,” but yes, he is most certainly Trump’s legal whore.

Barr has successfully proven that he has no interest in doing his job, which to represent the American people, NOT our so-called “president.”

That kind of comparison is completely uncalled for.

What have prostitutes ever done that justifies comparing them to a Republican lackey who enables and defends: treason, obstructing an intelligence investigation, and other crimes?

Sleeping with other people for money is a relatively benign and victimless crime compared to endangering the entire country, and enabling a criminal president, just for the sake of political expediency and a few thrown bones from the 0.1%.

This will have to become a movie.

I am thinking the character Chauncey Gardner in the movie “Being There” but a remake where the Chauncey is criminal but because of his position people insist that he must “be bestest”. Chaos ensues when people like Ol’Billy Barr defend him.

Perhaps I am wrong, but I think this was a disaster for Barr, and I also believe the Dems in the House will be ten times more determined to have him testify, under oath with questioning from their outside legal counsel.
I really don’t see how he can in any way prevent that from happening. Once he agreed to appear before the Senate, it’s going to be awfully hard to find any legal justification for refusing to appear before the House committee.
And if it went this badly in the Senate with Lindsey at the helm trying to save Barr’s ass, imagine the number of new orifices the Dems in the House will rip him.

When I watch this guy every shitty lawyer joke I’ve ever heard comes to mind.

Very well put.

Also, given Barr’s defenses of Trump, it’s a safe bet that Barr believes he can’t be accused of lying about the report, and perjuring himself, if he never reads the report.

Maybe someone needs to tell Barr that the Russia probe was not just about Trump.
