âThe presidentâs personal lawyers were not permitted to make and did not request any redactions.â
Well, why would they need to with their personal legal lackey (hereinafter referred to as âAGâ) already doing what they would do?
The arrogance, it burns.
âBecause the White House had voluntarily cooperated with the special counsel"
Oh? Drump had a sit down interview? No??? well that doesnât seem like cooperating.
Barr also divulged that Trumpâs own personal attorneys were granted the opportunity to read a final version of the redacted report earlier this week.
âThat request was consistent with the practice following under the ethics in government act which permitted individuals named in a report prepared by an independent counsel the opportunity to read the report before publication,â
Then why was everybody on Trump team saying that they had not seen the report? Now we are expected to believe that only the redacted version was shownâŚ
Before CongressâŚwow. No âcollusionâ there. Good thing thatâs not a LEGAL term right Bill?
âthe President confirmed that in the interests of transparency and full disclosure to the American people, he would not assert privilege over the special counselâs report.â
Awww, what a guy, the prez.
Assuming this is even true (that donnie - or rather, his lawyers, because we can be sure donnie himself didnât read the report - didnât ask for additional redactions), itâs obvious that the reason no additional redactions were asked for is because Barr had already redacted anything damaging.
Banana republic time.
They all lie like Manafortâs rugs.
Iâm beginning to think that, if Iâm going to live in a banana republic, I might as well move somewhere with a better climate.
A comment on Twitter last night pointed out that Barr summarized the report, redacted the report, briefed the White House on the report, and gave a press conference on the report - all before allowing Congress to see it. Guess we can add âgave it to Individual-1âs lawyers to reviewâ to the litany. Fucking depressing.
Clearer Barr: âIf there was no âcollusionâ before there sure is now, the President and I colluded.â
In response, the democratic leadership will tweet and issue politely worded letters ârequestingâ people appear before congress.
Weâre getting our asses handed to us, and the democrats we elected are crocheting instead of throwing around their considerable power.
Weâre going to lose this, because weâre not prepared to do whatâs necessary.
I admire Mrs. Pelosi. I admire her service and dedication to our country. However, we need a war time consigliere as Speaker. Sheâs been too ensconced in politics for too long to discern between whatâs right and whatâs politically expedient. She can no longer differentiate between the two.
Remember when conservatives freaked out when Bill Clinton met Loretta Lynch on a tarmac:
I eagerly await the same treatment of this Barr/Trump lawyer meeting /sarcasm.
So now we actually are in a dictatorship. Barr should resign in disgrace, or face the music when this ends, because Trump ALWAYS fails. They all need to rot in jail for their destruction of our democracy.
Somehow this feels like a long first half of a first inning. And we have not come up to bat yet.
Didnât Barr promise that he wasnât going to give the president any heads up before Congress? Since the President had already stated that he wouldnât use executive privilege?
Now I donât believe that DJTâs lawyers have not seen the whole clean report. The man who gave that presser would certainly give Trump the unredacted file.
Mere incarceration is kind. Traitors should be hung.
Youâve got me thinking of that old quote âHistory doesnât repeat itself but it often rhymes.â
This is a lot like how the initial Barr summary played but maybe nobodyâs taking the bait this time.
At least if MSNBC is any indication.
