Sounds like a “no” to me.
That answer is for Drumpf.
That should be immediately disqualifying. Therefore, Senate Rethugliklans will vote unanimously to confirm him.
Next question should be, if you decide not to listen to ethics staff will that be made public?
"…I make the decision, as the head of the agency, as to my own recusal,”
_along with a little help from my friends Trump and Putin.
“I can’t do that, senator, because that’s the only reason I’m being appointed.”
Isn’t that a lie? According to his own theories isn’t Trump is head of everything so his true answer would be “I’ll do whatever Trump tells me to?”
While I find the answer extremely scary, in that the answer is “yes” to that question. I had the same thought you did. This guy is walking a tightrope. Barr wants the job, and does not want Trump to pull his nomination, don’t poke the crazy man. But on the other hand, taking actions against the advise of ethics staff exposes you to major consequences (loss of law license, obstruction of justice charges come 2020).
My guess is that Barr will seek their advice, and then stay 5000 miles away from Mueller, and allow Rosenstein to manage him until a report is out. Barr looks good for history and avoids serious dangers.
Session surprised us along those lines, Barr has paper out there committing himself to other lines of thought.
BIG RED FLAG, PEOPLE
Not a good sign.
Well, yes, I’ll consult with them and then go my own way.
So there you have it…should be reason to not confirm…
