Discussion: Barr: In June 2017, Trump Asked Me 'What I Thought About Mueller's Integrity'

Something does not smell right here.

He’s saying what he has to say to have a relatively smooth confirmation process. But it’s at odds with things he’s said before. And it’s very hard to believe Trump simply asked, in the dispassionate way Barr implied, what he thought of Mueller. Trump hates and fears Mueller more than anything in this world. I don’t believe the exchange as described.

Barr - “…and so forth and so on.”

The new ‘I don’t recall’.

The actual question was “Is he a dirty cop that Putin can buy off?”…

I decline to believe that Trump knows the meaning of the word integrity.

So, the guy nominated to be the Attorney General of the United States recollects meeting the President, in the White House, for the first time, less than two years ago and he gets away with testifying to “yada, yada…” as to the majority of that interaction. He didn’t even mention the bisque…

I call bullshit.

So…I think Barr may be more conservo-ideologue than typical Trump-lacky. He was OG in the “Vast Right Wing Conspiracy” that HRC got mocked for calling out. He’s about moving Conservative Agendas more than trying to kiss up to POTUS.

While he does need to placate the Infant In Charge, he’s got a long runway to keep the investigation going.

He’s probably working with Mitch to ensure future judicial nominees don’t have their baggage brought out into the sunlight (see Kavanaugh) and thus waiting for Pence to step forward once DJT is out of the picture one way or the other.

He should have just cut to the chase with a Yada…Yada…Yada…
Does look a little like George Costanza anyway

I doubt that Trump would have nominated him if he had said anything positive on Mueller and the investigation. An besides why was Trump even taking to him on 2017? Did he offer himself?

I am also sure that integrity is not a word he would normally use in a conversation, unless someone was coaching him on vocabulary.

‘What do you think about this person’s integrity?’ Said Trump about no person ever. Trump doesn’t ask about integrity, he asks whether people are on ‘his side.’ Integrity is not something he understands, even as an abstract concept, particularly with people who hold offices that are supposed to be independent.

Ambassador to Israel David Friedman? What is that connection about? Was Friedman lawyer-shopping for Trump?

Whatever else it means, Mueller has clearly been living rent-free in the Hamberder’s head for quite a while.

Why is Israel trying to meddle in the Mueller probe and acting as an agent for Preshitident Skanky-Manslut?
