They use social values like a political tool, much as they use gerrymandering or political donations. It’s not government for a better world, it’s some reality game of politics, and they’re just playing the roles and the cards and the dice rolls they get.

This needs to be said, over and over and over again. The GOP are the party of hypocrites. That’s all they are. Nothing but shameless rank hypocrites who claim to be the party of “family values” while the circle the wagons and defend a KNOWN child molester. They do more harm to people’s lives than any other Democratic legislator put together. I cannot fathom how people cannot see what kind of monsters they are. They are EVIL, VICIOUS SCUM. And they deserve to be flushed down the toilet bowl of history.

OT, but assuming that photo’s a picture of Barney Frank, I think he looks a lot cooler with facial hair.

I love a TV series called Murdoch Mysteries and they’ve done several stories about the lengths to which gay men and lesbians went to hide their sexualities. Several episodes have dealt with gay men marrying lesbians to keep up appearances. The series starts in 1895, incidentally.
Once there was some on-air Q & A with Ken Starr. One could submit questions. I asked if reading the transcripts of Clinton’s encounters with the fellatrix gave him an erection. I got no reply.
