That’s exactly the first thing I thought.

The repigs will now say that this is another sign of Obama’s anti-police bias.

He’s almost as good at the subtle dig as Bill Clinton.

They probably got his DNA, too. Wouldn’t be surprised if Tejas “authorities” planted the kid’s DNA on something in order to embarrass the President.

Nothing terrifies wingers like science… except for the science-muslim combo.

I doubt that was accidental - the President did the right thing AND poked Donald Trump in the eye.

with a fist!

And in an event before the Business Roundtable today, Obama said, “America is great NOW.”

OFFS. What is it about today that makes everyone so argumentative.

Obama is President. Clinton is running for President. She still has something to prove to people, he does not.

Inviting somebody to the White House is something only one person can do (maybe two) and it speaks volumes in terms of validation and respect. Amazingly you don;t need more than 144 characters to accomplish a great deal.

Clinton has no official power, so she can’t do that. But what is needed from her is to explain the kind of country she intends to lead us towards. This is a perfect opportunity, but it takes more than 144 characters in my opinion (or much better writers on her staff). If they had Twitter in Bill Clinton’s day it would have been just as lazy, but his response would have been much more like Obama’s.

I sincerely think Chammy misread something in your post.

The President poked all the gop/bags in the eye!

I love it! This second term POTUS, is the guy I voted for!

Chammy,

I really believe you may have misunderstood Economides’ post. As he explains it here, the original post seems right in sync with your appreciation and respect, not only for our President, but for these young kids who may encounter ‘otherness’.

Love the way the Police chief decided to drop all charges…AFTER the POTUS invited the kid to the White House…love it!

Excellent move, sir!

We have a President with a heart and a brain who isn’t afraid to use them both and use them well.

This is great and all, but I’m with @NCSteve – it bothers me still, because we’ll never be able to really undo the damage that incredibly deflating day did, just try to build around it.

And I worry how many other minorities are mistreated systematically but in less remarkable ways by this school system and this police department.

Correct, the police did not press charges. But he was cuffed and finger printed. That was just absolutely ridiculous.

Texas should arrest this principal after firing him. What a racist place!

He still got a 3 or 4 day suspension from the idiots at the school.
