As is Bannon. If Gutierrez comes under fire for being a loose cannon when Bannon does not, what should we conclude?

So, after his father generously ‘indulged’ the college, the POTUS went to Fordham College (Catholic) and Bannon is a confessed Roman Catholic because he likes the brand and knows that a couple of Hail Mary’s erases a lot of heresy and crimes against God sins… easy peasy at no cost to him. These two should be married to each other and then simultaneously punished with foot-roasting and then purged from the civilized world.

That that’s the opposite of what’s happening, so why think about it? That Bannon’s a Nazi, but Gutierrez is merely an idiot; and idiots should get a pass in comparison to Nazis?

Because at the time of writing those comments, I hadn’t seen any follow-up reporting that Kelly reacted as vociferously to Bannon’s remarks/interview as he did to Gutierrez’s remarks. I still haven’t.

It’s possible I may have missed it, I’ve been doing other things most of the afternoon. If you have a link to an article showing that Kelly slammed Bannon after his interview the way that Kelly responded to Gutierrez’s remarks, then please post it. I’d like to read it.

I don’t, and don’t give a shit. Bannon need not be responded to any more by Kelly. He’s not in government, and Kelly has enough on his plate without adding policing out-of-government fascists.

I’m not fond of Kelly, nor of having to rely on him to do what he can to ameliorate things. But I do have to so rely. I don’t think Guttierez is helpful. He seems to have his heart in the right place, but his mouth is not. I think he’s a self- (and cause-) sabotaging firebrand jerk and he is not effective enough to be worth the damage.
