How are those loan repayments going? Has Manafort declared bankruptcy yet?
Not the slightest.
Trumpās support is tribal, built on perceived grievance by a minority of severely damaged (mostly) rural voters.
Like trying to āreasonā a Chelsea, Man United, or Liverpool fan (i.e. āfanaticā) into supporting another team.
Itās based on emotion and subjective feeling, not logic.
Literally, the best possible way to understand it would be to study religious cults.
(Good luck.)
Sadist.
To be fair to @irasdad, he said āstudyā, not join. Cults (or new religious movements if one wants to be less pejorative) can be a fascinating window into both human psychology and sociology.
This. I like to periodically review my credit reports to make sure nothing bogus creeps onto them (for a while a few years ago a younger brotherās bank info showed up on my report - probably because we share a similar first name and shared the same address for a few months). In any event, if you take a look at your reports, youāll find they know an incredible amount of info about you and your financial history.
For example, I own a couple of rental properties and sold one at the start of this year - sure enough, the mortgage for that property was there, and showing as āclosed/paid offā. The mortgage on the other rental property was there, as was the one on my principle residence. Oh, and the old mortgage on my principle residence, which Iād refinanced last year - again showing as āclosed/paid offā.
So if Manafort had other loans in his name they should be readily accessible to folks, if they cared to look. Of course, if I was trying to accomplish nefarious ends, Iād be trying to hide these behind shell corporations, etc but thatā's where your due diligence needs to also include tracing out corporate offices held. etc. Given the amounts of money in play here, youād think theyād all have tried a little harder (although if the goal is actually to buy a government position or two, maybe notā¦)
OT, butā¦They are who we think they areā¦
Which even if things go one hundred percent the other way this fall and in 2020, we are still saddled with. To see these people en masse is still something that is hard to get over. Hillary was being truthful, not elitist or provocative with the deplorable labeling.
This made me nauseous and Trump enables and inspires them.
You and @ronbyers are both 100% correct. Iāve mentioned here before that I served on my credit unionās board of directors for more than 20 years. The only ābenefitā I ever got was when I ordered new checks ā they didnāt charge me for them! LOL!!
I was chairing the board when I applied for my mortgage. The woman at the title company told me that they had to scramble to finish the paperwork when they heard my mortgage had been approved because it all went so smoothly and so fast ā and it still took 27 days!!
This is absolutely pure bullshit. You got that right!
The entire weekend can be spent on negotiating a plea.
No doubt, but you canāt get if you donāt ask ā¦
And yet Scott Brown is the US Ambassador to New Zealand and heās embarrassed them, us, and probably the kiwis. The man was a US Senator forchristsakes.
What I want to know is how often does this level of bank fraud occurs each day? Sure seems to me, DOJ can ratchet down the DEA and crank up the investigations of financial crimes like Manafort allegedly committed.
Iām sure there are many more folks who operate today, just like Manafort and they are not paying taxes either! Think of the billions thatās being lost from cheaters like these asses!
This revelation must anger us ALL! More importantly, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!
Somehow I canāt shake the feeling that the prosecution is tied up in minutia of impropriety without fitting it into a broader picture, and that Ellis is deliberately sabotaging a case that has to turn on minutia by demanding the prosecution go so fast that they have no time to build that case.
Iām worried the jury wonāt be convinced that this guy is complete crook.
Looked up what he said in NZ. This country truly needs to wise up. Dolt 45 has ruined the country in so many ways. When I travel, I will need to tell those in other countries that I never voted for these criminals, idiots, scam artists.
These kinds of cases have lots of details, so I share your concern. But I think the prosecutors are going about it in a pretty standard way. Trace the hidden un-taxed income from one end to the other. Show the false statements for the loans. Put on wrap-up witnesses to tie it all together. Try to get simple summary charts into evidence.
With a good closing and plenty of demonstrative charts they should be able to make the case plain enough, wrapping it around the theme of āManafort lied.ā
If Ellis really wants to torpedo the prosecution heāll forbid the jury from taking the demonstrative charts into the jury room. That will make it a lot harder for the jury to go through it count by count.

How do I use this to get whole ??
OT: Good freaking lord someone stole/commandeered a commercial aircraft from SeaTac, took off, did some stunts, and crashed on an Ketron Island in S. Puget Sound. F-15 jets were scrambled and continue to circle around. Whoever took the plane died in the crash. The airport is closed.
saw her on MSNBC giving commentary.
