Good thing the NFL was ahead of the public opinion curve on this one…

What other black male was seen to have punched a woman in an elevator? I’m sorry but if you don’t know by now that domestic violence knows no color then you need to exit out of TPM and go study up on life.

Well, that was a no-brainer if you’re talking about something that should have happened a long time ago…Now, its just CYA time.

You’re a disingenuous POS. Inflammatory is what you intended.

Ten years ago next month, Jamal Lewis (Ravens RB at the time, who also won a Super Bowl with the team a few years earlier) was suspended two games and served four months on a charge that he connected parties for a cocaine deal a few years prior.

Until this announcement, I was sure Rice wouldn’t see a punishment even equal to Lewis’s.

And this only bold italicized emphasizes how critical the video was to turning the tide on Ray Rice.

P.S. Police should always wear body cameras; those cameras should upload to a server; insufficient A/V should be the officer’s fault and an evidence tampering charge.

I wonder if Fox News could turn this into a political thing against Obama.

Nah, that would be ridiculous.

Let’s not go giving the NFL or the Ravens any passes here. The only reason further action was taken against Rice was because the video surfaced and was made public. It took too long (3 1/2 months), too much public pressure and the right course of action was taken today ONLY because Ray Rice is now toxic for business. Sad facts but true.

What? Businesses are completely sociopathic amoral machines that only exist to generate cash?

Next thing you’re going to tell me is that maybe we shouldn’t let them make decisions on whether or not sick people live or die?

My daughter just told me that the stupid, clueless morons on Fox and Friends said that there was a lesson in here: Take the stairs.

These people make pond scum look good.

Does this settle the debate on whether there is any good reason to publicize video of attacks like this? He’d be playing next week if not for this evidence out there for everyone to see. It’s sad that so many people and the institutions that tried to sweep it under the rug couldn’t grasp the severity of the crime without it, but the brutality of his actions can’t be denied once it can be seen.

Wait a minute.

You mean the woman did NOT punch herself in the head hard enough to knock herself unconscious and Rice was not doing her a favor by just helping her out of the elevator?

Don’t mind me, I live with my head very far up my own ass.

Oh well, if you’re going to actually have video instead of photos, testimony and a conviction, then we’ll actually have to treat the guy like he really does beat up women.
