Rep. Mike Coffman (R-CO), a Republican who ran ads against Trump on the trail, shuffled out of the meeting hat in hand.
"I am excited about the next two years and look forward to working with the president," Coffman said, adding that he was excited to do tax reform and to repeal and replace Obamacare.
"Iāll tell you what is so exciting is I no longer have to worry about executive orders or excesses in the rule making process," Coffman said.

Trumpās win had buoyed Republicans across the country and streaming out of the meeting, many members noted that it might be time for the Republican Party to reevaluate its own vision for policy and start adopting more of Trumpās.
Well the president did state that elections have consequencesā¦
Lost Edgar Allan Poe story:
A meeting of House Republicans. Paul Ryan swivels to retrieve a document from a three-ring binder; when he turns back, all assembled have donned MAGA hats.
Everyone loves a winner. Amirite?
You beat me to it. These jackoffs are the epitome of stooges. I hope nothing ābadā happens to this countryā¦their poor little heads will explode with the āI was against him before I was with him before I was against himā and on and on and onā¦
Iām going to save this article to enclose in future letters to these reps. āYou Own Itā keeps ringing in my head and this will provide the proof when all the rats begin to scurry.
If there was EVER any OCCUPY in mind for younger peopleā¦ It is due right now.
(1) Occupy Congress
(2) Occupy the MSM
(3) Press Conferences for Trump
I will be happy to explain why (3) is VERY important
Well Iām on record on saying that this previous cycle was the equivalent of a civil war.
The only difference was that the traditional GOP was using penny whistles, while Trump was reenacting the prayer bell/lionās roar casino scene from Kung Fu Hustle.
āBully pulpit.ā How apt.
From the 60 minutes:
[Donald Trump attempted to calm the fears of protesters who have demonstrated against him in droves this week, saying they are only taking to the streets ābecause they donāt know me.ā
CBS News journalist Lesley Stahl asked Trump about the nationwide protests in an interview on ā60 Minutesā Sunday night.
āThere are people, Americans, who are scared and some of them are demonstrating right now, demonstrating against you, against your rhetoric,ā Stahl said to the president-elect.
āThatās only because they donāt know me,ā Trump said. "I just donāt think they know ]
The GOP knows Trump. Thatās why they are coming aboard.
Ya missed 4
Vote
Your stated three are grand, but they donāt mean jack if the Rooster still keeps his balls.
Now to make them own it if anything bad happens. And remember, stay engaged and prepared for 2018
Thanks, inversionā¦
But I want Trump to be removed from office and resign. If he is in office more than a few months, I donāt believe it will make any difference if we want to vote or not.
Too much history I know
Too much experience with people who lived under dictators
Too much fear of some drastic thing Trump will do.
I know that this is not believed by Americans. They still do not believe just how dangerous this man isā¦ESPECIALLY people under age 40
Cowards!!!
We know a cowardly racist when we see one.
I believe it. Even beyond the European autocratic stuff the more educated of us know, read up on the dark annals of Pinochet et al.
āIāll tell you what is so exciting is I no longer have to worry about executive orders or excesses in the rule making process,ā Coffman said.
That statement could be taken two ways; is he implying that the President-Elect will not issue any executive orders, or simply that he will be in full agreement with any such orders issued? Man, are we in for a bumpy rideā¦what happens the first time the GOP disagrees with His Highness? We truly live in āinteresting times.ā
Anybody know where or how I can get bumper sticker that says āLetās be Clear, I didnāt Vote for Himā or something to that effect?
āIāll tell you what is so exciting is I no longer have to worry about executive orders or excesses in the rule making process,ā Coffman said.
I think that someoneās in for a big surprise.
Of course theyāre excited! They may not have wanted Trump, but with Trump came control of the whole freaking government. Of course theyāre drinking the Kool-Aid. It tastes like champagne.
