C’mon New Hampshire voters. Do you really want to support anyone–anyone–who thinks even for a second that HO is a “role model” for anything besides being a criminal?
Tell ya what, Kelly. Give me your kids, I’ll raise them to be like Donald, and we’ll see how they match up against the kids I’ve already raised.
How did the rest of the debate go? DId anyone watch? Just from this clip Ayotte seems nervous and lacking in self-confidence.
As soon as I saw Ayotte’s initial comment, I donated to Hassan’s campaign. And I’ve only been to NH once in my life
I think the walkback will hurt even more because it shows her trying to have it both ways – just like with her non-endorsement but voting for Trump.
It’s early and the coffee hasn’t kicked in but this statement
She has insisted there is a significant difference between voting for and endorsing the real estate mogul.
seems the height of hypocrisy and equivocation! @heavylifting has it right - we need to support Hassan and I’m going to donate to her right now.
“I misspoke tonight,” Ayotte said in a statement sent out shortly after the debate at New England College wrapped. “While I would hope all of our children would aspire to be president, neither Donald Trump nor Hillary Clinton have set a good example and I wouldn’t hold up either of the, as a role models for my kids.”
First of all, Sen. Vulnerable, it’s “neither Donald Trump nor Hillary Clinton has set a good example.” Second, Sec. Clinton is a fine role model for people who aspire to public service.
This woman’s hypocrisy knows no bounds.
Wow: Sen. Ayotte’s comment is bizarre on multiple levels. 1st, a self made woman who was a brilliant lawyer and who has spent nearly her entire adult life in public service is a not a good role model for children. Then, a bigoted vulgar oaf who got his start in life via inherited wealth is even for a millisecond somehow a good role model, until, of course, he no longer is because… And finally, she supports someone who wouldn’t be a good role model for kids?
Yep, Donnie “Dumpster Fire” Drumpf is a perfect role model for kids.
His kids, Uday and Qusay. That’s it…
The Rump is such a role model, he inspired me to Google “bankruptcy fraud” the other day. Now it seems I’ve caught a tracking cookie because my TPM advertisements are nothing but low-cost bankruptcy lawyers today. Thanks, Rump!
Trump is a great role model for kids. I don’t endorse Trump, but i support him and will vote for him.
Alex; What are stupid things Kelly Ayotte says?
And that may be the point at which Ayotte’s campaign goes down in flames.
Senator I-Support-The-Nominee makes yet another unforced error…
Strangely though, New Hampshire continues to support her over their otherwise popular and effective governor.
Blue!..no…Green!..Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
yes, senator, trump is a great model [comment about senator’s breasts deleted]
From her Wikipedia entry: The Lugar Center at Georgetown University ranked Ayotte as the 11th most bipartisan member of the U.S. Senate during the 113th Congress.
Dear Senator Ayotte: Trying to have your cake, and eat it too, is not bipartisanship. It’s hypocrisy.
@artemisia And that may be the point at which Ayotte’s campaign goes down in flames. I pray you’re correct, but there seems to be a significant amount of outside money (on both sides, one has to acknowledge) pushing her bid for re-election. Anti-Hassan ads even crop up here for me. I guess the tracking gremlins haven’t gotten into the voter registration lists yet, 'cause this Democratic Yankee is quite clear about his choice.
You could literally feel and hear the pain as she kept pushing that size 22 shoe into her mouth. Wow. And Ouch.
Talk about sinking your own campaign!
