Discussion: Authorities: South Carolina Elementary School Shooter Killed Father Before Rampage

Less prayers, more gun control. The second amendment is far less important than the right to exist without harm from a bullet.

Too bad the Gov’s statement didn’t mention that a gun was involved in this tragedy

Did I miss what happened to the shooter?

ETA: Found it. He was apprehended.

Guns gotta go. This is sickening and ridiculous. Maybe if there were less guns the cops wouldn’t be so trigger happy too.

I’m just so lucky and thankful that we didn’t have gun availability when I was a kid like we do now.

Teenagers and guns, drinking and guns, all good combinations don’t you think?

Receiving the NRA’s Shooter of the Day award ASAP.

“As we work together with law enforcement to make sure they have the support they need to investigate what happened in Townville, Michael and I ask that everyone across South Carolina join us in praying for the entire Townville Elementary School family and those touched by today’s tragedy.”

I’m praying that all shills for the gun industry like Governor Haley will someday be gone from our midst, and we will have a sane approach to firearms in America.
Thank-you in advance, God.

Why weren’t the elementary school students armed? A good kid with a gun could have stopped this, you know.

Confidential to NRA: The shooter was apprehended by an unarmed man.

Free speech meets freedom to carry. Such a match made in heaven.

A teenager killed his father at his home Wednesday before going to a nearby elementary school and opening fire with a handgun

…Jamie Meredith, a student’s mother, said some of the children went into a bathroom during the shooting.
“I don’t know how they knew to go in the bathroom”

This shit has become so common that everybody knows what to do.

What a nice governor.

Ineffective at stopping crime and protecting the citizens, but nice. That’s what’s important. Wholesome values.

Is she supporting Trump?

“This is a small price to pay for freedom.” the NRA and the Republican party

Where did the teen get the gun? From his home? Honestly, people, just lock up the gun so kids and teens are not able to access them.

It was a white kid too, must have been a lot of external pressures and reasons involved, not the kid himself.

The kid was 14. His parents gave him the guns. The father is now dead. That’s as much justice as we’re going to get, because in fact the kid’s life is over as well.

The good news is that’s one less NRA membership

Notice how no one talked about him being a terrorist because he’s white? Fuck the media. There was hardly any coverage of this yesterday once they knew he was white.

I’m sick of politicians’ platitudes about prayers. It was the same–even worse–in the aftermath of the Orlando shooting, where Rick Scott, when asked what people can do to help, said that the ONLY thing people could do was PRAY. Fuck your fucking prayers. Quit praying and get off your ass and engage your fucking brain about practical ways to help.

While growing up with severe depression, my parents and a couple of mentors from church at the time did nothing but PRAY for me, after telling me I was allowing Satan a foothold in my mind and that I needed to read my bible and pray more. Even after I admitted to being suicidal, that was the response. And these people continue with the same lazy mindset and refuse to acknowledge that there are plenty of actual ACTIONS to take to minimize future events like this. Fuck prayers! DO SOMETHING!
