Discussion: Attorney Wants Planned Parenthood Shooter In Mental Hospital

I say put him in a creamatory furnace live then push the green button. But that is just me.

By all means treat him gently…Self-righteous, White, Male Lives Matter.

Black hair dye can soak into your brain and really cloud your judgment. Look what it did to Mitt Romney.

Now, how the hell is he supposed to give the keynote at the next NRA convention if he’s in a mental hospital?

Well, the NRA will have to fight the Pro-Life Action Ministries for first dibs.

So being an anti-abortion zealot = mentally incompetent?

I can go with that if we can apply it to the SCOTUS bench, POTUS candidates and members of Congress.

Just institutionalize his beard.

“Ya know… There’s nothing wrong with wanting all babies to live …
and I’ll kill anyone who disagrees with me” —

Reasoning of a pedophile —

I’m cool with him just going to a mental institution if what we’re doing here is setting a legal precedent that clearly states that religion is a mental disease.

Nah. Send him to the GOP Convention. He’d be the perfect Trump delegate.

Satanism works as a religion for most Republicans.

There are a few things about the treatment of this incident and this fellow that disturb me.

  1. If he was black/brown and/or Muslim, there is no way that he would be permitted to go into a mental hospital…he would be going straight to death row.
  2. There has not been a real serious conversation in the media about this incident and other attacks on abortion clinics/clinics that provide medical care to women.
  3. I think it gets framed as a pro-choice vs. anti abortion thing. OR Guns rights issues come in and it also becomes polarized. OR it’s dismissed as a nutjob. And then it gets highjacked by the the shallow feel good conversation that some people feel “we can all agree on” about restricting guns to people with mental health issues and/or increasing mental health care.
  4. Which is bullshit.
  5. This is about someone who is anti-abortion feeling that it is ok to go into a women’s healthcare clinic and terrorize and kill people. He feels justified and empowered b/c of all of the crazy talk by so-called sane people who are against abortion who demonize the women who use these services and the healthcare workers who provide them. Politicians and religious leaders (some of whom also silently stand by and let children get molested) and activists and pundits who have no skin in the game ratchet up the conversation.
  6. We hold radical Islamic leaders accountable for recruiting and grooming Muslim terrorists. Shouldn’t we also held accountable those people who help groom these “pro-life” killers to do their dirty work? This man seemed to feel that he was avenging the babies who were killed…I want to know where he got the idea that this needed to be done? And I have seen no sense of horror from the anti abortion movement that their mission was twisted by this fellow…he IS a result of them. They don’t even acknowledge him.
  7. So, if, in the end, this man gets sent to Nutjobland, which may be the right place for him, I ask that we start to look at all future criminals who are not white, with the same eye that we look at this crime. (and it feels like compassion is less a part of this Nuthouse thing, than sweeping this under the rug as quickly as possible)

I am exploring accountability. I earlier wrote a post about the NYC police officer who killed Akai Gurley…and I expressed that I think that the people who trained and graduated this police officer, who clearly seems to have not been cut out for the job, should be held accountable in some way. I am more asking others to chime in and give their thoughts on this. But I am feeling that we are in an era where people in positions of authority feel free to say and do anything (or in the case of Congress, to NOT do anything) and they aren’t held accountable for things they have approved or encouraged

Only if it’s a maximum security one. This is a guy I don’t want out on the street ever again.

He sure seems crazy to me. I mean, I don’t know how you’d fake those eyes. Can you imagine sharing a cell with that one in County lock-up???

This stinks. Isn’t this the case where the judge has put a gag order in place? Why? I’d like to
hear what else the insane shooter has to say.

Great idea!
