Lie and cheat Republicans. If you can’t win by the rules, change the rules.

Frum’s prediction (Axiom ?)

If conservatives become convinced that they cannot win democratically, they will not abandon conservatism. They will reject democracy.

How the fuck does this guy still have a job? Wisconsin also has the highest rates of alcoholism in the country IIRC (I’m too lazy to fact check myself). I think these things are highly correlated.

I would slap Scott Walker something fierce…but I fear I would hit him so hard that rubber mask he wears would fly off, revealing his true, putrid visage.

I’m sure this will turn out well for them in November.

ā€œHolder said that Wisconsin Republicans appeared ā€˜to be afraid of the votersā€™ā€¦ā€

ā€œIf you define cowardice as running away at the first sign of danger, screaming and tripping and begging for mercy, then yes, Mr. Brave Man, I guess I’m a coward.ā€ — Jack Handy

More evidence that Republicans know the only way they can win elections is to cheat, steal and take huge sums of money from anti-democratic oligarchs, Russian, American, Saudi. Doesn’t matter as long as it is money. The problem is the Republican Party. It is no longer a functional political party in a functioning democracy. It is full on authoritarian and the monster in the White House is their product. But, I don’t think they have reduced the voter rolls as much as they need too or corrupted the system sufficiently to declare long term victory. Walker and his stupid Koch Republicans have just given us more evidence of that. So maybe a little be of good news in this?

So WI Republicans are going to spend money to call a special session (sans the two legislative seats in question) to change the laws governing special elections, so they can claim to be saving money on special elections when legislators can’t vote???

A new low in Republican disregard for democracy…

Break out the ax handles and go get those gutless wonders, Wisconsin Dems.

I fully expect that republican end game is eating liberal’s brains.

We will eventually just see them hunched over their kill eating brains.

It is inevitable.

Note to self: lay off the draino and lighter fluid cocktails at happy hour.

There is one election he cannot avoid: the one in November where he gets sent to the showers.

My god, he really went there, ā€œan attack on Democracyā€.

Hope this wakes everybody up.

Wisconsin, good luck with this twisted mother-fucker.

Typical Republican…when they can’t win on the merits or their policies, they cheat. Fuck Walker. Take the mofo to court again for this perversion of democracy and failure to follow a court order.

Yes, what else do you call the bogus ā€œvoter fraudā€ campaign, the refusal even to hold hearings on Merrick Garland, the attempted GOP attacks on blue states during the drafting of the tax law obscenity, etc., etc., etc. ad infinitum and nauseum. You cannot maintain a democratic republic with people determined to win at all costs. We have no choice but to do our best to obliterate these horrible people in the 2018 midterms…IF this maladministration and its minions actually agree to hold them.

Not sure. Wisconsin seems to politically be lost in the weeds.

Walker clearly nixed specials elections since he saw the anti-Trump (Rep flipped to Dem) trend in special elections to date. By WI statute,

ā€œAny vacancy in the office of state senator or representative to the Assembly occurring before the 2nd Tuesday in May in the year in which a regular election is held to fill that seat shall be filled as promptly as possible by special election.ā€

Walker actually had the chutzpah to argue that 2 special elections were unnecessary since the Rep vacancies took place in 2017, not ā€œin the yearā€ of 2018. What a dip****.

Now he/they want to change the law.
Bolton stopped recounts for George Bush and was rewarded for it (State job). Walker tries to change the law. PA Repub want to impeach SCOPA for correcting gerrymandering. Republicans are anti-democratic, in bed with the Russians, and willing to screw anybody to steal a vote.

I hope WI residents wake up and vote these bastards all the way to Siberia.

Gee, its like Walker is advertising his contempt of a court order by pushing this subversion. You can’t change the rules after the fact, moron. Not when a decision on the matter has just been adjudicated. Like tRump, Walker is trying to stoke a constitutional crisis in his state.
