Heavy gunfire?
Exaggerate much?
The cop shooting the kid after an altercation and because the kid was charging him is a far more plausible scenario than the cop simply shot the surrendering kid six times for no reason. Iām not saying thatās what happened, though thatās allegedly the copās statement during the investigation. Weāll see. But the town has to find a better way of expressing its grievances than nightly riots, even if itās only a handful of agitators causing all the problems. Itās wearing thin and any sympathy much of America feels for them is evaporating.
I see you dropped the āeā in your name.
I saw a stat on BBC News just now that only 27% of the American people are watching this situation closely. They also threw up a stat that blacks are three times more likely than whites to distrust the result of the current investigations into the Brown murder. (Yeah, TPers, murder. Thatās what it was.) Which is sort of (but not really) not funny, since Iām white, and I sure as shit donāt trust any investigations that involve Ferguson PD.
Some people express their grievances by continually trolling with sock puppets. That wears pretty thin too.
Jeebus on a Triscuit!
Ferguson protests: 90-year-old Holocaust survivor Hedy Epstein āarrestedā by police during St Louis demonstrations
Setting aside authority, the cops usually tend to look like more of the problem in these situations.
Who shot the kid and who got shot?
Who keeps shooting the public and claims to be firing back?
Who pushes, subdues and arrests for any reason that they make up and who is asked to please just take it and keep quiet?
Yes, cops gotta be cops but thatās it, they donāt have to go commando and turn every situation into, us vs them. The cops wonāt ever get respect because they command/demand it, they have to earn it, just like all of us have to do.
Iām pro-protestor is what Iām saying.
OUTrageous. WHite PEOPle arenāt CRiminals!!11one!!1!1!!
The Medical examiner said that the wounds may have been caused by Brown charging cop. also brown was not shot in the back as the witnesses stated.(ARE THEY LYING???)
There are several types of observers of this tragedyā¦train-wreck-observer types of people, the police and government officials, those who would wish to help, people who are commercially tied in (this includes the media), the Right and, finally, those for whom this can be a turning point in social awareness.
When the dust clears, what will the latter group do?
I think the picture of the man wearing a āpeacekeeperā t-shirt standing in front of the police (with his hands up) calling out to the protesters should be the front page lead.
I also think this is the picture that would begin to calm things down; a citizen of Ferguson who is attempting to establish calm at great risk to his own personal safety on behalf of the whole town.
His selflessness is heroic.
No rioting, looting or National Guard.
I think the witness statements were that Brown jerked his body. The assumption was that this was from being hit by a bullet but it could have been from other causes.
Shots to arm/hand could have been made while facing other way. Said shot to head was probably the fatal one. One was into his eye, came out jaw and went into collar. (WAS HE FALLING FORWARD???)
