Discussion: As Puerto Rico Reels, Trump Fixates On Island's 'Tremendous' Debt

Yohoo President Dotard! Sounds like the Wallstreet Swamp has more of your ear than the 3 million + citizens of Puerto Rico. Makes you appear to be covered in swampyness. Not good press coverage. Even Fox is going to have trouble with this pig-response. They’ll try, but there just ins’t enough lipstick.

You are correct about the vast cost for rebuilding after 3 “Storms of the Century” (we can retire that term now, right? after 3 of these types of storms hit in less than 1 month). So maybe you should exert leadership. Belt tightening. Not a good time to accrue massive more debt with the “Deal The Trump Family First” tax reform. Oh, and how about recognizing that China isn’t causing the increasing volatility of these storms - climate change did. Not a Hoax.

Whose the hoax now? Dotard.

Yes, big decisions here. Trying to decide which word best describes the Twitstormer: Vile? Shameful? Disgraceful?

Decisions, decisions.

What happened to that guy - you know the one who would say that he
“could build amazing things - really amazing - you would be amazed that they are so good.”

The GOP is ready to spend money on military items like it is coming out of a fire hose

  • so spend some of that on Puerto Rico.

Yes, Mr. President! Blame the victims! Ignore you’re own contributions to their debt! Full speed ahead with your imbecile rationales for not giving a damn about these American citizens! Show your true leadership on this issue!

People are dying and he’s talking $$$.

Of course.

Fla and Texas and other Confederate states get big effort, big turnout, big bucks when they get slammed.

Poor PR, with no presidential vote, warrants a diatribe about their debt and what a good news story it is.

Prez Asshat couldn’t pour floodwater out of a boot with instructions written on the heel.

Classic and apt description.

During brief remarks Friday on the continuing aftermath of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico, President Donald Trump maintained his laser focus on the country’s debt.

@mattshuham That lede makes Puerto Rico sound like a separate country; it’s a U.S. Territory. But you knew that.

He is showing his “true leadership.”

Now, watch this drive.

It’s symptomatic of a failed administration. But the stock market keeps humming along so everything is just fine. PK explores the commonality between Puerto Rico response and the ACA repeal attempts.

“This is an island surrounded by water. Big water. Ocean water.”

This immortal piece of rhetoric will be incised into granite above the entrance to the Trump Presidential Libary.

No, I really meant “libary.”

I’ve heard that same expression, but with piss from a boot instead of flood water. In PeePee’s case, it’s even more appropriate.

What the fuck is this?

Later in the speech, he made a point to return to discussing Puerto Rico, but only while bragging about the nation’s DP growth: “Unfortunately, having the hurricanes hit Texas, and Florida, and Louisiana, and, obviously, other locations — especially where we are right now with the kind of money we’re spending on Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands — it’s going to be a little bit of a hit. But we are doing extremely well even this quarter, despite the hurricanes.”

I’ve never heard a public official refer to the US doing well in a quarter. Christ, is he even trying? This asshole loves to remind us that he has no empathy for anyone but his sycophants. Where are the quotes about him saying we don’t have the money for the wall or the military? When it comes to a humanitarian disaster in Puerto Rico suddenly he’s complaining about money.

He’s piqued and needs to break something; Puerto Rico will do nicely.

FYI, Dotard Donal’s presidential libary will be completely digital. It will consist of only one memory stick, holding every last one of his tweets, and nothing else. It will be buried in the swamp under Mierda Lago.

You have to remember that Dotard Don is working only with 1/4 of the normal human brain capacity.
