Discussion: As North Plans Missile Launch, US And South Korea Ready War Games

Apropos of nothing, our annual Family Roadtrip from Hell took us over the Mackinac Bridge this year. The things you learn at the visitors’ center. Construction of the bridge was delayed twice by wars: WWII and Korea. Whether our war is righteous and necessary, or a giant, tragic waste, it’s always a reason we can’t have nice things. People should be clearheaded in our accounting.

This is why Trump thinks the military is “locked and loaded”, because they are doing routine war games in South Korea. He has no idea of the logistics involved in gearing up for a conflict of this magnitude.

And its also probably worth noting that China’s statement is only that they would not help North Korea attack. It says nothing about its reactions if North Korea is attacked.

We should all be deeply concerned. As the investigative noose continues to tighten, Trump will become increasing erratic and look to war as a way of achieving The Grand Distraction.

Two school yard bullies who should have a private one on one cage match and leave the rest of humanity out of their STUPIDITY.

It would take several months to get the necessary land resources on scene. It took Desert Storm from August to January to fully gear up.
Trump’s tweet is nonsensical but that’s par for the course I guess.

Just because …

The world took a deep breath and showed great relief when “the Cold War” eased back from its high points. Now we have Trump and N Korea. The old war hawks are happy as tension raises. Does not matter what the worldwide disaster would mean to the survival of the planet as long as the USA is the winner of the showdown between two bullies.

On a related note, how embarassing for our legacy that we used to square off against the biggest, most powerful nuclear power in the globe besides ourselves, and now we’re beating up grass against a tiny country that doesn’t even have basic food security?

Was reading NYC magazine yesterday and read an article that stated the obvious: Trumpkin’s presidency is failed to the point where his only chance to turn things around (for him,not us) is it we are attacked, or if he starts a war. On the bright side, it will be interesting to see just how far Trumpkin can push his North Korean doppelgänger before something bad happens. I’ve always wondered how latently suicidal the North Koreans are. Trump himself does aspire to Wagnerian spectacle, but would saner minds step in? I have a fantasy where Trumpkin’s Secret Service detail throw him out a window so that none of us have to find out.
