There is this thing among members of the GOP tribe that they can’t (not won’t) recognize that their optics on certain issues is beyond redemption.
What I am interpreting Blasey Ford’s motivation with coming forward is that she wanted the powers to be to understand the person that Kavanaugh was, and now we see that Kavanaugh was a rotter in HS who won’t apologize that he was. You can’t be forgiven if you don’t think you’ve done anything wrong. As a Catholic Kavanaugh should understand contrition, and he hasn’t shown any.
It’s the lying, the stage managing to give cover to the liar, for me it’s not about what Kavanaugh thinks about a President being above the law it’s about how he conducts himself when faced with a challenge.
Is this really to deep into the weeds for some? I thought this process was what helped one become a better person.
