Discussion for article #242130
It is not “Sluggish”, it is “Low Energy”…
Perhaps they need to add another “!”.
At the end of the day he’s going to be the nominee. Face it, who else could the nominee possibly be? Ted Cruz, Ben Carson, Loud Mouth Trump?
Six in 10 registered Republicans say he could possibly win a general election — putting him just below Trump and about tied with Carson atop the field.
Registered Republicans are insane.
Jeb! has proven himself to be a horrible candidate. He has so many unforced errors, and shown a total inability to prepare for the known knowns (to borrow a phrase).
Jeb is struggling, and I don’t see any particular quality that would ever cause him to surge. He’s dishonest, as I listened to him smear Hillary Clinton’s Banghazi testimony, he’s a huge fan of trickle down economics, which is ruinous, of course, and he has no other policies outside of the typical GOP trash can of ideas!
Personally he’s dull, thin-skinned, and a charmless speaker. God luck with all that. Still, I’m happy to see so much GOP money go right down the crapper!
The suck is strong on this one
Haha.
The exclamation point was always a lame and pretentious flourish. Right now they’re bordering on the always-predicted double-question mark within the BUSH campaign.
It’s not his rivals he needs to distinguish himself from, it’s his brother. In desperation, Jeb! is now running on his brother’s abysmal record (“He kept us safe – and fiscally sound!”). Naturally, this long “analysis” by the AP ignores the elephant in the room – Warpresident Bush. This is why Gore Vidal called us the “United States of Amnesia.” How many of us have actually forgotten – or recovered from – the Bush Rampage?
The campaign says Jeb!, but the voters see Bush!
Unlike his alcoholic brother, he’s not a guy you would like to have a beer with!
You are right. He will be “Rammed Down Our Throats”™ by the Five Families!
The idea of Jebulah feeling forced to “take risks” fills me with delight. Because you know he’s going to wind up with one foot stuck in a trashcan and one hand Krazy-glued to his face.
“The moment is now,” said New Hampshire State Rep. Carlos Gonzalez…"
Ah yes: faster pussycat! Kill! Kill!
Oh, by the way, Carlos, tu eres un puto.
Bush-it! Overabundance and no demand.
Fiscal constupidism at work in Jeb!'s campaign.
“God gives us our personalities and our looks and we can’t help that”
Along the lines of those Southern women who say, “bless her heart” when they despise the person they’re talking about. It’s not even damning with faint praise - it’s praising with faint damns.
No he isn’t. It’s just impossible to see him ever getting out of the hole he’s dug for himself. He’s shown himself to be a dreadful campaigner and I can’t see any path for him to turn this around. Like Giuliani, he may look good on paper (to Republicans, that is), but the more you hear from him the less you like him. The nominee will be either Rubio (by default, because he hasn’t actively screwed up; my betting pick), Cruz (by picking up Trump/Carson supporters after they flame out) or, god forbid, Trump if he manages to keep it up.
Jeb seems more interested in defending his brother than winning the election. Very poor strategy. Can’t defend the indefensible.
Jeb takes a risk every time he opens his mouth in public.
