Discussion: As Georgia Voters Head To Polls, Ossoff Takes Slightly Harsher Tack On Trump

Day late and a dollar short?

Or does Ossoff have to present himself as someone willing to work with Trump when possible in order to have a shot?

Will stand up to Trump when necessary, eh?

House Dems could have a hidden advantage here: maybe Trump will mistake him for Jared.

Personally, I see this as a good move. GA-06 is a Republican area and there’s only but so far he can push the “Rump Sucks” button. He’s tied Handel to Rump’s incompetence but focused on some of the more pressing issues of the area like the health care debacle.

I think he does. It is Georgia after all.

Yep, but more like a month late and a Benjamin short. The race is a referendum on Trump. The district is full of never-Trump Republicans and Independents. So, of course, the Democratic candidate never mentions Trump.

Another campaign run by the braintrust that got Kerry and Hillary elected…

Nice try.

He has to treat carefully, remember a lot of Trump voters refuse to admit their mistake because the libruls keep calling them idiots. So when speaking for a general audience he tries to keep it low.

But in the targeted mailers, the Ossoff campaign has been ruthless against Trump and gainst Handel for her “handeling” of PP. Which I find it quite daring as the district is well endowed with Taliban Megachurches.

Total bullshit.

Regardless of how they vote, Republicans have a strong registration advantage in that district. But today, CBS came out with a poll showing Trump’s lost 11 points even with R’s nationally (Though he’s still at 72%).

Everyone who insists Democrats would win if only they were more progressive and pure in every single race in every state and district, regardless of demographics and local party id numbers needs to first explain to me why Russ Feingold has now gotten his ass handed to him twice in a row by the dumbest fucking fuck from Dumbfuckistan in the Senate.

The Unicorn Mounted Purity Brigade is all talk and nothing else.

And they lack any discernible or successful political knowledge.

Oh man, don’t get me started on the “purist”. I have a friend who’s one and it drives me bonkers.

You might consider trademarking that.

Yeah, but how much of that 11% are disaffected alt-right freaks who are pissed because he hasn’t gone fascist enough?

With 50% in… Ossoff’s goose is about cooked.

52.6%
47.4%

Have you asked him to explain Feingold? No point in having a friend you argue with if you can’t toss out the odd gotcha and make them sputter.

Though that may just be a sick lawyer thing.
