Ode to Broward County
Â
Part 1
Â
And Part 2
SO already the fix is in. Republicans are going to delay wherever possible (requesting all machines get retested when one individual one breaks) to try to run the clock on Thursday.
Then, if they’ve been successful in keeping the votes from being counted fully, will say that counting must stop.
Shameful.
Republican representatives asked that all machines be retested and county officials agreed.
This is how republicans differ from democrats. We want the system to work properly.
If the Secretary of State in Florida had provided these counties with the same equipment they provide their ruby red counties, they could avoid this bullshit!
But NO! The goal here is to STEAL VOTES from Black, Brown, Yellow and People of Color! NO MORE BITCHES!!! WE WILL TOLERATE THIS SHIT NO MORE!!!
COUNT ALL THE DAMN VOTES
If by properly you mean making sure that as many obstacles stand in the way of the “wrong” people voting or getting their votes counted, of course.
If they wanted Broward voters to count, the Republicans would also request that the Thursday deadline be extended or eliminated to ensure that all votes get counted accurately.
I’ll wait for that call…
Sorry, I was unclear. The republicans called for all machines to be tested, and the county officials (most or all of whom are democrats) said “of course”. In a heavily republican county you would find a thousand reasons why only the machines from certain precincts needed to be proved to work.
If you want to see the actual ballot in the county with the under votes and get a better understanding about the under voting issue, read this:
Hint… the ballot is poorly designed with Senate race choices at the bottom under the directions. They really should’ve been at the top.
Wait … A machine was not counting ballots in a heavily
Democratic county?
Whose fault is it this time? Hillary’s or Obama’s?
(Hey our Fake President has already assured us that the Russians were not stealing the election.)
Then im with you. I think it should be an automatic extension of time for whatever period they are down, otherwise I predict another shitshow on Thursday.
Do we UN election observers over here every time? Looks like it.
I’m sure we all know this, unless you’re a Republican mole,
Miami-Dade has a population of 2,592,710
Broward has a population of 1,814,813
Why wouldn’t it take longer to count these counties votes then say:
Lafayette has a population of 8,809
Liberty has a population of 8,267
Poor Broward Co. Pretty soon they might not have a very good reputation when it comes to counting votes. All those hanging chads and now machine malfunctions.
This actually gives me hope that the machines and not the ballot design can account for some of the undervote. If that’s the case these votes will be found in the hand recount planned for the Senate race.
Because of course
Man, Florida.
The recount started before the count ended?
It seems to me that whenever the GOP starts pointing fingers and accusing Dems of cheating it turns out that the GOP are the ones perpetrating the things they accuse others of doing. They are attacking these counties in Florida because they lean heavily Dem and that is where they concentrate their voter suppression tactics which in turn causes voter tabulation to be delayed.
And who decides what machines are used and how they are configured? As Brad Friedman of Brad Blog would probably say, an automatic recount by machine may not verify anything if there is no paper output. Also, recall that in the 2000 election the Supreme Court stepped in to STOP the recount at a point where the Republicans were satisfied with the results
I think you meant “We want to work the system properly.”
