Yup. And the country you need is one with a professional military that won’t haul ass when ISIS shows up. One ideologically opposed to ISIS and one that considers them a threat and an enemy. And a country that needs you as much as you need it. The best fit: Iran. So you begin a detente. But what the fuck does a 4 star General know? I realize his name is of Italian origin but it could easily be painted as Mexican…a damn rapist.
Or I guess you could bomb bomb bomb Iran while you were bombing oil fields for Exxon.

Yes indeed, and instead of succinctly explaining exactly why Trump is spouting bullshit, the General goes off into a military-speak discourse, stating disagreement with Trump only at the end when pressed.
A simple: “Donald Trump is rat-fucking nuts; next question!” would have been far better.

Trump response - that general is a loser and he is just saying that to bolster his TV ratings. That press conference got a lot fewer viewers than my show which, frankly(tm), is why my plan will work.
